My Vivid Pie Factory has encountered an alarm whilst setting up the alarm reads:

Alarm 17-83
PND opto blocked
Tamper.

Can anyone help me?

I'm guessing here but it may be referring to the Pound Hopper. Maybe a pound has become stuck in the chute, or maybe something else is stuck in the chute. Have a look there.

yeah you got a pound coin jammed just at the hole where it leaves the actual hopper.

switch machine off and remove the hopper, then unscrew all the screws so you can see all the pound coins and just remove them by hand.
you will then find a coin jammed at the hole where the coins leave the hopper.

just manually turn the hopper so the coin spits out.

I think thats also the same error you would get if you tried a laser pen emptier on a hopper payout machine, but can't remember :)

If the above replies don't solve it, don't forget to post back :)

I got the same error on a Hot Rocks 25p/£25 by pulling out the hopper and accidentally pulling the internal connectors apart (next to the hopper motor).
