i have recently got one of these machines but it has a problem, when it starts it comes up with 5.1 checksum failure then goes into alarm.
ive also noticed when it loads it comes up with "starting little devil slotto" before i get the above error. not sure if someone has mucked about with it and changed the pcs over.
anyone got any ideas? isit a problem with the pc?

i found some eproms from a magic slots i had and put them in. (version 7.1, the original version is v4)
the machine goes abit futher now and begins to initialize but gets stuck on initializing acceptors, ive checked wiring and plugs, i can hear the note acceptor initialize and there is a green led on top. but i have no led on the coin mech? not sure if theres ment to be? ive taken the plasic cover off and can see some leds on the board but none are lit. there is 12v going to the mech tho.
this is what i was told the initial fault was. havent tried putting the original proms back in yet, going to try and get a coin mech and try it.

you most probably dont have a dongle installed. slotto will only work with a slotto dongle etc.. etc.. etc.. mixing your eproms and combinations will get you nowhere.
i suggest you do a full ram clear and go from there. its something like dip switch 10 on back 2, but google it.

its got a dongle in there but dont know whats on it. im getting the correct eproms tomorrow so i will see how i get on

fitted 2 v4 proms today and the machine works! came straight on with party games slotto. not sure why it says little devils when booting up!??

its a bit tempermental at taking coins though so might need a new mech

It'll either need a new mech or (believe it or not) a new power supply.

try pressing eject, then when you see the mech open, open it fully yourself and wipe with a damp cloth. i thought nothing of putting a squirt of something on it like detergent etc as thousands and thousands of coins leave grim on the inside of the slot. worked a charm
