The only thing that gets me is that people assume we just can't be arsed to release recent machines.

Rule of thumb - if it hasn't been emulated, and is made since 1995, it can't be emulated. If made before 1995, might be a problem with ROMs, artwork, e.t.c.

but if you look at the homepage it states that only machines like 'pre 2000' kinda era can be emulated (pre 1996 I think lol)

Not sure, there was going to be a Simulator by eFruity/Stiffulation of Party Time Arena, not sure what happened with that project though. Most people said that visiting the site it was supposed to be on infected them with spyware
