Hi
I have a win2k laptop which i have been playing the emulators on.
1.45 and below seem to work fine but 1.46 seems to crash the machine periodically.
It will run fine sometimes for hours but other times it will crash after 5 mins sometimes less.
Is there anything that might conflict with the emulator ? I have an antivirus running plus some internal chat programs but i wouldnt of though that would cause a problem.
I use the same emulators at home on my xp machine and that works fine everytime.
Anyone else experiencing the same problem ?
Cheers
Paul

ive been running win2000 proff` for the last 6 months with no problems. Now im running a dual server board and have tested the jpem1.46 on proffesional, server and advanced server with no problems.
are your running multiple programs? as the cpu maybe overheating, resulting in program failure.
you could have a background task that runs and argues with jpm1.46 :sneaky:

I thought it might be something conflicting with the software but even with the basics open , Antivirus , touchpad drivers it still does it.
Its annoying to say the least. anyone else have any ideas ?

I think the problem is jpemu 1.46,i had to download most of the roms again after installing version 1.46 as it didnt like loading roms that had been loaded into previous versions.
So i suggest you delete all previous versions of jpemu and re download the games that arent working, and use 1.46 only.
Hope That Helps.

I cracked it.
The problem with running it on windows 2000 is the system priority in the task manager.
Jpemu is treated as normal or below normal so when something in the background tries to call up the internet or something the jpemu software halts and will not go any further.
With windows 2000 open the task manager (ctrl alt del) and right click on the jpemu from the process list and then chose set priority to high or realtime.
This will unfreeze the software and allow you to play more.
Cheers
