These ROMs were previously made available at Poundrun, which is no more - and as someone requested them on another thread, I thought I'd post all the ones I have.

EDIT] You can download all of the following files in one 6mb ZIP from my website, address

http://www.apso32.ds...om/mageroms.zip

Don't forget, many of these probably won't run, not sure on the statuses but here they are for those interested in video machine emulation.

If the Admins or Mods decide that there is a problem with me posting the ROMs here, feel free to delete, although I would like a reason :)

This Mage shows great promise. The Mame of gambling, eh? Some games work pretty well, but most don't work very well. The ones that don't seem mainly to have problems with ram check, battery check, coin refill, etc. Eventally it will all get worked out. You can solve some of these problems yourself, like pressing the key for attendant or something, depending upon the game.

Damn, this post was so old, I forgot I even made it :)

Thanks must be paid to those due :

Elcondor, for his work on the MAGE emulator [and his team, whatever shape it takes], and for
Alex Maroney / Fruitforums team, as I'm sure thats where I got those ROMs from.

All I did was paste them here so that other people could enjoy them - nothing more :)

The one from my early post in this thread?

I'm assuming I just need to rename the ZIP, will I need to change any filenames in the archive?

Let me know, I'll do it when I get back from college at 12:30.

I may well rearrange all these MAGE ROMs at some point [maybe they could go into the downloads area?]

You need to chnage the one you posted, not the one I posted.

No rom names have changed - it's just that two different games called pontoon are now supported, and the name of the working one had to be changed to avoid clashing with a MAME name.

I've not been around in a while, can somebody give me the address of where to get these from? Basically the MAGE emulator. I asume all the roms are in the link posted. Also is there a MAGE32 so to speak? I remeber one being in the pipeline, did it ever come out.

I believe you are correct. I also believe you need a powerful PC otherwise it runs like a dog!

Basically, the MPU4Video side of it is fairly efficient, but the trackball emulation relies on mouse rollover input trickery, which is rather unwieldy and slow (not that I can think of a faster way of doing it).

So, if question protection was sorted, the quiz games would probably run on a similar spec to your average DX layout.
