Hi. I am new to this forum. Just bought a QPS full metal jackpot fruit machine and the note acceptor is not working. The acceptor is lit up but the decal above says 'not available'. On the inside the acceptor has a slow green flashing light. I have had a couple of fruit machines before but this is my first with a note acceptor so am a bit stuck. Can anyone help me? Thanks

Is there enough money in it for it to take notes, as in, has the hopper been filled and the "top up" button pressed?
Cause if it thinks its empty, it won't take notes probably.

Hi. Yes it's was empty. I've put about £40 into the hopper now. So the hopper needs to be full for it to work? If it still doesn't work when full i'll post again. Thanks

Yes the hopper needs at least the jackpot amount in there before it will accept any notes.Hi. Yes it's was empty. I've put about £40 into the hopper now. So the hopper needs to be full for it to work? If it still doesn't work when full i'll post again. Thanks

Or you could open the top door.. Insert a refill key and press the "hopper topped up" button??
Try that..

Anything less than £50 in the float and the machine disables the note acceptor.

Oh, of course you could look in the manual or on the back of the machine (I think there is a sticker in mpu5's) and look for sticker that tells you about dip switches. When you find a setting saying "note acceptor lockout inhibit" switch that switch and it should work. Be prepared for your machine to I OWE YOU though if you don't have enough coins in there and you try to collect that £20 note you just put in lol.

Oops, just seen fmjackpots is scorp tech.
It will be in the manual.. I hope you have one, if not I'll have a look in my manual for juggling JP's and see if I can help.
I think I'll make another video lol.. Will be later though..
