Hi All,
Just got this email looks genuine but anyone know what im likely to have done ?

I only talk to one person on it and have not done or said anything bad, rude offensive etc??

Here is the email they sent with all the facebook logo etc.

Hello (my full name was here),

Our systems indicate that your activity would be a violation of our Terms of Use and potentially of federal and state laws.
As a result, your account has been disabled. Please reply to this email with a description of your recent activity on Facebook.
We reserve the right to take any appropriate action in connection with any activities that violate our Terms of Use and/or applicable laws, including termination of your account and pursuit of legal remedies.
Please reply to this email.

Thank you,
Facebook Customer Support

Or is a scam email or genuine?

PS I can no longer log into my account.???

sounds rather dodgy to me what i would suggest is go to this link http://www.facebook.com/report/ and mail them your problem and see if anything comes from you mail that you send.

(have you more than 1 facebook account) if so they may want you to close one of the accounts. if you only have the 1 facebook account it may of been hacked if so report it as a hacked account.
always on the scrounge for freebies.

If I was you I'd just let it go and make sure your account is deleted (not probable, as once you put anything on Facebook it becomes their property (excluding anything covered by intellectual property law)).
If you just contact one person, then why not use Email? Going through Facebook just allows them to monitor your each and every move. This may sound paranoid, but the whole purpose of facebook is to be a data collection tool, and the data you post is gold to the companies that are paying their bills. Incidentally, Facebook’s most recent round of funding was led by a company called Greylock Venture Capital, who kicked in $27.5m. One of their senior partners is called Howard Cox, who is on the board of In-Q-Tel, the venture-capital wing of the CIA.
Please all, read this, learn, and wake the fr@g up and smell the coffee, Farcebook is nothing more than a corporate whore bending you over and .......... I f@kin hate Farcebook.

definite fake - they never ask you to reply to an email! They tell you to go to facebook and log on to an area not respond to an email.

facebook are really petty compared to other social network sites. I often get blocked for trying to add friends whom i was in school with. I get told that i do not know this person etc etc etc. Who do facebook think they are telling me whether i know this person or not? This is not what id call "SOCIAL NETWORKING".

True, i often wondered why you cannot permantly delete your account, nor can you download your information once an account has been suspended.

Pilky told me about this add-on for firefox called 'ghostery' it enables you to view which 3rd party sites and data collecters are also tracking your visit and allows you to block them.

Its scary what you see when general surfing of the web and Facebook is one of the worst offenders.
Mmmmmm...Sandy ive 'ad her ye know. :)

I have had this sh*t sent to me before its a scam don't click on any link. With facebook you tend to get them allot when you are playing Poker telling you things like "you have won 10,000000 chips click here to receive them" then if you click it you tend to lose all your millions.

I hate scamming tramps with a passion. :o :o

Thats just it tho,
This dont feel like a scam for several reasons

1. My account IS suspended how could a scam do that ?
2. The only links in the email are valid facebook ones just takes you to there terms?
3. Maybe the reason they want me to confirm my last activity is because maybe i was hacked and its genuinely to confirm that?
4. They want me to email them on a facebook email how can that be one really?
5. I know theres loads of scams but this just dont seem like one or its a very good one !

A lot of facebook accounts are getting hacked!

I laughed at first when I heard this but then as with many comments in this post, some people leave so much info about themselves.

It is,lets not forget a world-wide concept :err: -so god only knows who or what is able to access our information!!!!

I have an account, but have few details about myself on there.

In relation to yr email Fruitman,it could well be that yr account as been hacked. My advise would be to close it down and open a new one.

Jay
