---------------------------------------------------------

Information
-------------

Machine Name : Take Your Pick
Manufacturer : Barcrest
Stake : 20p
Jackpot : £10.00 Cash
Percentage : 88%
Release Style : WDX
Layout Size : 1280

Along with my 6th DX is an absolute classic and im sure this one will hold many memorys for a lot of people.

This beauty was done from glass scans which where obtained from Gary & Cheese. The scans needed a lot of work to get them up to the standard of which I really wanted to give this machine. The glasses were in a bad way with paint flaking, faded areas, missing areas as well as the scans being out of allignement which cant be helped when scanning. Once cleaned they were housed in the correct red cabinet with added lower glass perspective. Next was lamping which I think came out OK, but the Nudges lamps and coin lamps were a struggle, I must have done these about 10 times before finally getting the the best way I could. I added the Side art, which keeps with the theme and included visual listing of the shortcut keys, which can be minimized out of the way, for those who don't like it. There were a few lamping errors which I resolved using the test modes, and the reels were not like the originals, the number reel was redrawn to match the original as well as the main reels having the correct reel symbols and correct coloured numbers.

Skinned buttons were added, but ive introduced something new, as some people prefer graphical lamps instead of clickable buttons, ive introduced the option to have one or the other. Firstly the graphical lamp buttons exist underneath the clickable skinned buttons, so all people need to do if they dont like them is delete them and the graphical lamps will be shown. Dont worry about keyboard shortcuts as there on another set of buttons off screen.

I hope you enjoy playing this layout as much I enjoyed creating it.

Lovely :)

Has pride of place on my desktop this one, although I agree with the point about the ROMs. Its far too nasty on the £6 > £10 jump, taking me £30 to get through it [although it did repeat].

Also, you mentioned

The standard Keyboard Shortcuts [0 = £1, 1 > 3 = Holds, S = Shuffle, F = Feature Shot e.t.c] all work without having to make ANY changes :)

Artwork wise it is superb, I think I need to get me some of these custom cab pics, as long as they are open for designers. I'd guess you spent some time and effort making the one you used, you wouldn't steal it :)

Cheers for a great release, and heres hoping for the £8 Token ROMs!!

BB, i know the shorcuts work anyway, the point is when you delete buttons you loose the shortcuts, but i have 2 sets of buttons on this layout, the skinned clicakble ones and the off screen ones, so when somebody (who doesnt like the dodgy lines around the buttons, eg the round buttons) they can delete the buttons without fear of loosing the keyboard shortcuts.

Its a new thing ive thought of as, some people like clickable buttons and some hate them as they spoil the layout (sometimes) and as the round buttons in MFME are really crap people if they want to can delete them and just have graphical lamps. Hence pleasing both sets of preference.

Glad you like mate. ENJOY
