Hi all

I have just bought a real Cool Jewels Club Fruit machine that was set on free play. the Alpha display just have a row of @'s and never says anything. is this because it is on free play and the people before me have tricked it into thinking that the door is open? i have changed the door button cables and nother seems to make a difference.

anyone have any ideas or things for me tho try?

Thanks

Dan

Either the boards on its way out due to battery damage or the alpha itself its nackard or the wirings bad. Check around the Green battery in the centre of the motherboard and check to see if its mouldy. Also check the wires to the alpha and check them on the board aswell, if all is good then the alphas gone :)

The alpha will typically show a row of @'s at reset just because of the way the chip works. It looks like the alpha is being reset but no data is being transferred to the alpha.

Check the clock and data lines to the alpha and that the plug is secure.

Otherwise its probably the board, as has been said, check for battery damage to the board.
