Anyone who knows their rugby league will know about how the sport has branched out into Europe. It seemed like an alright idea until this weekend.......
Catalan Dragons v Hull FC
Several hundred Hull FC fans made the trip to Barcelona to make their way down the road to the Southern French side of the Spanish border. Plane fares, hotel charges, food, drink, well, it's pretty much a 3 day holiday to the South of France to see their beloved team play Rugby League.
Now with most matches in any sport, if the match is called off due to a frozen pitch, you just don't go. No outlay, no money lost. Just a small bit of sadness about being bored this weekend. Spare a thought for those travelling Hull FC fans who this morning, in their hotels, were told that Sundays match is off. I think if I was one of them, being gutted would be an understatement.

It's a shame - Irish Rugby Union fans in France must be pretty annoyed now too - with the game called off with fans in the stadium from what I could see...
