[This post and title have been edited to take the form of a WIP thread]

First things first - they layout that I was working on, Adders N Ladders HDX, has been postponed for the moment.

I never should have started it really, it is an unnecessary HDX - but it will be finished at some point [even if I just give the artwork to someone else or something along those lines].

However, there is another layout I am working on, which AFAIK has NOT been DX'd before - and if it has, not on here - and probably not a recent DX. If this isn't the case, let me know!

I'll be doing a 1024x768 WDX, with the chance of an FSDX if anyone is interested.

Oh, and the more eagle eyed of you will probably notice that I am using PCP buttons on this release, and when you see the state of the start button, I hope you'll agree it's easier than redrawing [which I am pretty crap at!]

The buttons are not finished, and the graphics still have a fair way to go, but are getting there. I'm never going to give a DEFINATE release date to a layout either - no point in getting anyones hopes up - but expect a release within the next 7 days at some point.

Enjoy :)

 Why the hell are they never listed on any forums? On here theres just a classic [I understand Pook likes to host things on DXcellent rather than here which is fine], but I've been across the other forums for a look and saw nothing?!

You lot will just have to suffer ANOTHER version of it :)

Dude get a copy of the Snapshots done by Troutman, these are used in MFME to show a snapshot of the machine. I use these to see what allready beeen done, as its a littl;e picture of the layout. Troutman keeps these up to date everymonth.

I do hope this doesn't mean you are ditching this 'All Cash Advance' layout BB as it is on the cards for a nice modern update in my eyes.

Well, to tell you the truth, I've got the flyer for this one and would be 'enquiring' about doing a new DX myself a month or two down the road. So do keep this one alive mate as it wouldn't do any harm with a nice up-to-date version.

Also, as has been said to me before, theres never too many DX's. If I was to chuck in the towel whenever I learned that a layout already existed of the one I'm currently working on, I'd have never released anything.

No need to worry about that :)

I'm trying out some different lamping and stuff, so it may look different to this tomorrow!

IMO there is only one way to lamp and thats using dodge.

Watch for my next release (barcode) and it will be stunningly obvious.

Its not an easy thing to master and takes alot of patience, but when you hit payload its like an almighty orgasm :p

Barcode should be out over the next few days, keep an eye out for it :)

I'll complete this layout using the same lamping method, but if you are willing to let me know what this 'Dodge' tool can do, I'd be more that willing to use it on my next releases :)

Heres a WIP showing how the lamping is going, and what I mean by 'not much side art' - and why I chose to keep side art to a minimum.

Comments welcome :)

I'll no doubt be working on this more in the next few hours :)

Good old bit of retro here BB looking forward to playing.

As was mentioned there are other versions of this in the downloads, but as much as you like playing a game when a new layout of the same arrives it's like starting all over again--Better get the beers in now then ready!

OK, am I being totally bloody mad here?

The only previous version I can find, by going to Downloads, then Search, and then typing 'Advance', is the classic. I'm aware that there is a DX by Pook, although that isn't hosted here? :S

I try to do a machine that hasn't been DX'ed before but it's hard when from what I can tell not one of the forums had a release thread or a download for a DX of this machine :(

There are many dx's which could do with a makeover and this is one of them. It could be that better resources are available or new dx'ing technique are found.

I think this is looking very nice.

I have to admit, I love the lamping on, for example, Composts latest release. Damn nice, suits the older machines really well!

I've pretty much done all the lamping, but seeing as how the layout has been saved at every stage [I have 17 PSD files, each one a little further on], I may well experiment with the lamping a little more before bunging it into MFME :)
