A DX Mod is an enhanced version of a classic Mod, it incorporates artwork from the original machine into the layout, to give a much more authentic feel to the emulation experience. DX Mods require high quality images of the original machine to be available to the layout designer, and takes a lot longer to produce than a classic style layout, so please understand that DX Mods are not available for every game released.
A PDX Mod is Pseudo DX, ie the Mods still have the high quality images but no longer resemble the machine exactly, this may happen if no images of the machine are avaliable and only partial images exist (i.e from flyers etc)
Hope this clarifys things.
