Just saw a little "Slot Jockey" :p (© Me) press hold buttons 1,3,2,3,2,3,1,3 on The Simpsons and Double Top in attract mode. Both machines make a little noice and then goes dark. After about 20 seconds it comes back to life and back into attract mode.

Anyone know what this does?

Cheers

I've read this somewhere before. All it does is reset/restart the machine and that's it. No advantage to be gained from this.

I would disagree, I used to play a very early release of club monopoly £250 jp, and pressing 3,2,1,1,2,3 used to always produce a £15 form 4 red cherries within a couiple of quid. This may have been coincidence but it happened a lot.
BTW it would only work once evry 20 quid or so

The code is actually 123232313

And it works on most maygay machines, not just simpsons and double top.

"dumps the machines data down to the rs232 for an engineer to analyse."

Yes, and then when it discovers theres is in IF device to send the data to, it just restarts and plays as normal.
