Was that an update of the update, or an update of the update of the update? I'm getting confused!!!

BTW what the hell is this thread about? Surely it's not about some pie in the sky emulator (please don't)!!!

If it is can we have an update? Not an update of the update, but an update of the updated "emulator" ("emulator" = questionable) update!!!

Now I loved this emu… it gave me many years of enjoyable pleasure… the creator was always funny and acting the clown (wasn’t too good on ladders though if I recall correctly ) and we always heard regularly from him - he never ‘borrowed' any material for his emu (as far as I am aware) and he always gave a helping ‘hand’ with his emu too!

The vids on youtube, seem to show the emulator working, with 5 layouts being available to play.



On the surface they seem to be playing just fine, except for no sound. So it looks to be the perfect time to release the emulator for a v0.1 release.

I am assuming, that it wasn't just the sound not working, but possibly, several features didn't work properly if collected etc... and that is why it wasn't released.

There has to come a point surely though, when even if told no sound and don't collect this feature on this layout, you have to play this layout in open door mode etc...when at least the first release is going to happen. I can't imagine anybody would be stupid enough to think everything will work 100% fine. Many layouts on the other emulators don't work 100% perfectly even after the emu has been in development for years, but I'm sure many like myself still play them.

If it's canned it's canned. Pretty tired of this whole saga now. Full respect to the guy who did the work. There's been a shitstorm over Amber/FMEF for years now, and we've managed to ruin it for ourselves once again.

nothing is ruined, cancelled or not going to happen. sure we have all waited just a bit too long, but hey - its being worked on so lets wait a little more.

I have avoided posting on this as much as I can now (lol). To be honest I know how much work Guitar has put in to this and his reasons for doing so; I also realise the people who frequent these sites (who like me often have addictive personalities and the very concept of being a gambler means you are up and down) often feel frustrated by it's lack of release dates. I am not sure why people are so p*ssed at Guitar though - I remember when I released software without being tested properly to you all just to meet self imposed deadlines and you all moaned at me about bugs and told me that I should have waited - well it seems you are telling Guitar the opposite..???
I hope something is released by him soon - although to be fair not sure I will play it as I have lost interest in playing machines anymore as I am too busy wwith a load of other hobbies. That being said I still read the forums constantly and find them as interesting as ever, but things don't change. People complain about releases and emulators, people re-release old titles with little added and people argue over nothing - which I think is great (lol).

This latest proposed release timeline has really brought out the worst in some people. Surely there has to be more to life?
