Hi all, I hate to be new to a forum and be asking for help straight away but I've searched this forum, and all the others on the net for that matter, without finding an answer.
I have recently purchased 'Warped' which has a £35jp. It came with replacement decals so that it can be changed to £25jp or £5jp but I have no idea how to do it or if its even possible. It came with all keys and works perfectly and also came with a manual but this happened to be for a £25jp version but either way theres no straight forward instructions on how to change the jackpot. The guy that sold it to me also gave me 2 different prize/stake keys which he had bought and tried and he couldn't change the jp either. Everytime I try to do what I think is right with the keys I get 'invalid key', an alarm and the machine resets. This is especially annoying as I have to re connect the note acceptor each time this happens.
If it cant be changed then at least I know and I can give up but why would it have replacement decals??
I know very little about the workings of fruit machines and all I know about the inside is that the board says 'Eclipse onestop technology'.
Any help would be greatfully received.
Cheers

By the sounds of it you would need a complete new rom set for the machine, if it is saying invalid key then it can't be changed!

If the prize keys are not changing the JP value, it seems like the £35 rom the machine has is not changable.
The machine has probably been upgraded from £25 jp to £35 jp, hence having all the decals for £25 and below. (£25 roms would have been changable)
Old set of £25 roms would be required.

Thanks to both of you for your answers but I have managed to solve it, finally.
The switch settings that were with the key when I bought it were not the right ones for that key!
After seeing a post where someone had put a picture of a key that was the same as mine and had commented that 4 & 7 on gives £5jp and 10/20 or 30P play I gave it a try and it was as simple as that.
I suppose its simple now I know but I just trusted the settings that were given to me.
Cheers

Hi,
Just an update but your warped uses the Eclipes mpu and that can only be programed using a flash card, therefore you cant change the jackpot without.
In regards to the manual it will still be the same info.
Only way to get around this is buy another mpu with the £5 jackpot installed but tbh i would not bother as a good working eclipse board can cost up to £100.
Hope that helps.
