Whats the best emulator site for old classic games like Sunset Riders and Street Fighter etc... So were looking for Arcade games from late 80's to mid 90's...

Links to sites or anything guys?

Cheers in advance...

Mame for arcade or if you after games like sunset riders etc go for a genesis emulator...

I cant remember the name of the one i had with about 300 rom files but i've probably got it at home... if i get on later i will upload the emulator and let you know about the rom files (they are backups of my original games and i promise to delete them after 24 hours) honest !

Yeah it's the arcade versions I want, not the consoles... Like the rare editions of SF that were never released onto consoles...

Can you get Sunset Riders for MAME?

I'm a n00b when it comes to emu's other than FME!

Sounds familiar

Almost like someone writing a layout for a rom or something for the public to get freely and someone gets hold of it and packages it onto a cd to make profit from themselves rather than the original authors...

NOW WHERE DID I HEAR THAT BEFORE ??????

Sounds like a rip-off to me... Surely all these roms are available to download somewhere?

Theres www.mamehalloffame.co.uk for some mame games and the MAME32 0.84 emulator, and theres always www.romshare.net for ALL the MAME roms, and most other ROMS too, but the romshare site is hit and miss at downloading ROMS, sometimes have to tell it to download a ROM about 7 times before you can.

actually it is illegal to sell roms, also they are free to download.

so selling them is like this site download fruitmachine games and sell them......if you have broadband each sega megadrive game is about 1 meg so it takes seconds to download, you can download a mame collection in about a hour and play all them oldies such as donkey kong, track and field, space invaders etc.

track and field! - those were the days, if you were lucky you could find a machine that had a joystick instead of buttons

on your marks, get set... FLY START!

see my post MAME HEADS

www.romshare.net is about the best ive found for the odd roms, thers also a trick for beating there transfer system (i crant say , but a prv msg might help ) as you only get about 11/20k depending on how busy they are (there www.emuchina.net) sign up to one or the other and you can get your hands on pretty much what ever you want.

also , check my post MAME HEADS if your after pretty much anything rom/game related :) (you'll need bittorrent but a quick google search will solve that :)

any questions and PM me :)
