i think dialtone can do something about it as he copyrighted the emulators, now if they are included on the disc ebay should not be allowed to let the auctions go on. but you know how ebay operate, they don't see the problem until somebody complains.

know what your saying but thats how i got into fruit machine emulation by buying a disc off ebay, being on the old dial up it would have took ages to download what i got on the disc... and the way they get around selling is they are not selling whats on the disc, just the time and effort it took them to compile it, it is a bit of a rip but as i say im happy as it enabled me to enter this beautiful world of fruit machine emulators...

that one selling it for 35 pence, have you seen the postage cost £3.66, thats where they are making, ITS A DISC, first class stamp tops....

OK, well I've taken the time to warn the only bidder on the above item (streetboy2384), and directed him to this site with just over 5 hours before bidding ends - good thing about eBay, if we warn unsuspecting fruitophiles against being ripped off and direct them here, we get the odd new member out of it :D :D :D

gj thats a good idea. Selling them on ebay would be ok if they said it was for people with dialup that doesnt want to download hundreds of layouts and if they actually provided the url to this site.

Thing is people are now selling a BS fruit machine cheat book then saying they give 200+ emulations with it. The emulations are free here and if anyone really wanted to read an ebook full of shite just search p2p.

Then maybe we should compile a CD-ROM to sell on eBay ourselves, and plough any profits into supporting this site - anyone who raises more than £5.00 (+ eBay charge) gets a Bronze, £10.00 Silver and £20.00 Gold... ;)

To solve this problem partially would be to have an offocial fruit-emu CD full of every emulation to date, updated each time a layout is released and included on the "buy it now" a link to prove its legit and so they can get new releases after the date the CD was made, or to decide if they want to buy the CD (dial-up users) or if they are on dsl they can choose to just download everything they want. Dont flame its just some random idea I just thought up its 4am >_<

PJ gj means good job.

slloooooowww dooownnnn, before production starts, is there not a copyright issue to tackle here, or royalties, i dont know tto much about the legalities but with console roms there is a legal dispute about ownership.....

one numbtie cashing in on ebay would get a slap on the hand at worst, an organisation/company would be drilled into the ground....

8:30 on a saturday morning with my thinking head on, obviously didnt drink enough last night....
