ive been reading this forum for a few days and have seen several terms that i dont know what they mean, if anyone could answer these questions that would be great... as i have to learn somehow!

Cheers...

1) what is impact tech

2) the games and roms and letters after them ie DX etc what is this all about what are the abbrivations and how many are there

3) are creating roms easy, if so how? as i cant find my fav 3, so i throught id make em =)
- super pool (extreme gaming)
- cops and robbers (bell fruit) but its the new one with the safe cracker dial
- cash on the lash (muzoono) <<< my fav =)

4) as i know some of the new roms people dont like to distribute... is there a good place to get guides for them

Ok mate although im no expert on these matters ill do my best to answer your questions :-? one of the mods or admins will have a better idea 1....No idea[hr:043e208e76]2...DX means DeluXe layout..you can also had Psudo delux layout PDX..classic layout..Hybrid layout...most of these are the same but more artwork goes into the Delux layouts adding to the realism [hr:043e208e76]3...the machines you mention are all fairly newish machines therefore probably use MPU5 tech...which isnt emulatable at the moment and probably wont be for years at the request of the manufacturer...you cant "make" a rom...you need the actual e-prom from the machine..then you need an e-prom reader to encode it...very technical stuff :-( [hr:043e208e76]4...someone on here will correct me on all these points probably..as far as roms..you could try www.romshare.net..you will have to create an account though...[hr:043e208e76]Like i said im no expert by any means...although thats all about the FME scene i know about...Hope this helps a wee bit [hr:043e208e76]

i figured that one out lol... ive had a look around there 'briefly' and couldnt see any fruity roms? any advice?

as they are passworded the urls wouldnt work....unless you are actually logged in..

just so you know all the machines you want are currently unemulatable.

i think super pool uses epoch technology.

the new cops and robbers use the newest scorpion technology.

also i believe cash on the lash also uses the newest scorpion technology.
