Hi everyone. I have been using a program called game maker for quite a while now and i thought i would try to make original fruit machines on it using no ROMS or emulators. So far its going good i have managed to program a board feature a mystery space and a bonus space. It does have a few glitches but im working hard to fix them. I have posted a picture of the board feature so you can see my crappy drawing skills :p i would say this will be ready in about 3 weeks.

think you`ll need it mate - ive just been doing a layout and its unbelievable how difficult and complicated its been - you might want to consider having a go with the emulator, theres loads of people on here with vast amounts of knowledge that you cant get on ANY siftware readme lol as RH says - good luck ;)

Well i have been playing around with this idea for quite a while and i think i can do it.As for the reels i should have mentioned that earlier i had another project lying round before this (which unfortunatley is deleted) and i had working reels with holds and nudges so i plan to remake that system later . Also something else i forgot to mention is the board is functional and playable i spent ages on the system but it works nicely :). I will keep this post updated when needed. thanks for the replys :)

Question. Would we require the same program to run your finished project?

Im not 100% sure on that but i would say it would run without the program. If not though i will add the program into the game file.

jim the answer to that one is yes - and you need to purchase the "PRO" version to avoid having an electronic watermark plastered all over your hard work.the program itself seems like a good idea in theory, but having t purchase additional software upgrades to produce something that wont run as a stand alone game anyway might put some people off, anybody who is prepared to have a go deserves nothing but respect :)

Well i dont think this will be a prob as i have the pro version :D . Also there is a free unlock code on youtube for the version im using (game maker 6) oh and im not using any of the pro features on this project anyway so even if u cant unlock you can still play it.

Whoops forgot to mention that game maker 6 dont like windows 7 and wont run on it. BUT i could easily import it over to game maker 8 (latest version). I know this will work as i have imported before and since im not using pro features it aint gonna cost you money :)

Sorry I may sound a bit 'off' here but...

This is an attempt at trying a new way of a Sim?

It is in its total infancy?

There's no way ok knowing if it works or not?

A year ago there was a post stating the same thing on a different machine that got deleted therefore no update*!

* iCare Data Recovery 4.1 will recover it as does many a free recovery program.

I really don't want to see 'WIPs' threads where theres no guarantee it will work...and especially if theres a fee involved.

Good luck to you vividfruit....but I can't see anything as it stands.

Right first thing I will not be charging money for the use of this game when it is complete it will be FREE :) .Also yes it does definetly work and that UPDATE thing I was only saying how i was progressing with making the machine. Last thing I am not trying to simulate a real machine if there is a machine in the real world with the same name as this it is complete coincidence all the machines i will be making with this software will be 100% my own idea (unless people start requesting that i make real machines) I hope this answers most peoples questions and I'll look forward to releaseing this project when complete :D .
