Can anyone help me with a Reel 4 Error 2.4 on an Impulse (Epoch tech) Gridrunner.
I picked up the machine at the weekend the mother board was well and truly knacked by Battery damage, after reading everybody's problems with the Impulse/Maygay Machines I ordered the spares replacement pack off of ebay, this arrived this morning.
I have fitted the Roms and security chip in replacement MPU (I didnt change the Boot Chip as they are both U10 BOOT V6), I also changed the power supply, I switched the machine on and all seamed to be OK with the bootup, All 5 reels started spinning it lined up the Impulse symbols on the payline then a really loud alarm went off and the display said Reel 4 Error 2.4. I switched off the machine, took out and checked reels 4 and 5 (as I don't know which one is which since they're not labelled) both look OK no bad connections. I swapped the connectors for Reels 4 and 5 on the reel control board powered it up again and got the same Reel 4 error 2.4, for good measure I powered off the machine put the connectors back on their right connectors and the swapped the reels 4 and 5 over and got the same fault. Powered down again, swapped the 6 reel control board put the Reels in the correct place connected it up again and still got Reel Error 2.4 :crying:

Any ideas anyone??

Also if anyone can tell me how to turn the alarm down I'm sure the neighbours will appreciate it B)

Thanks in advance
Alan
