If you mean when you land on a '?' on the board, then no, there is no skill involved to my knowledge, just luck.

if you want to go one forward from the ? then u can hold it down start(space bar) and then release it for a split second before hitting it again.
this has earned me loads of £££'s down the local arcade before the GF stopped me going down and wasting money lol

Yes mate I just played to check and what happens is the lights will go up and down the trail and you have to use true skill to stop the trail on full. I thought I would double check as I wasn't 100% sure.

Dont forget if you hold the cancel button down it is a true skill stop as it slows it down

I forgot about that mate!! I will try next time I am playing. I must be losing my mind cause I am always forgetting obvious tricks like that. The donkey kong cancel trick I forgot when playing the other day, it was my bro that reminded me. You know the nudge trick!! Hopefully the guy that asked this will see the answer (as said above), if not oh well we will just have to make this an open ended discussion LOL.
