Hi all, im new to the torrent downloading thing, im trying to download microsoft flight simulator but when I click to down load it goes on downloads but isnt downloading? if I try double clicking on the file in the download box it says windows cannot open this file? I have windows 7, any help?

download & install that

try opening the torrent file again

should open with utorrent, select what files to dl (usually has all highlighted) then click ok and it will start downloading

please note: if your ISP is virgin or sky they may cap your internet speeds if you download stuff via torrents

and hats the link to the torrent as it may not download due to lack of people seeding (uploading their copy so others can download)

Hi thanks m8! seems to be downloading but its v slow, the flight sim is 8.27gb! any way i can speed this up? thanks v much!

There are various tweaks you can apply to utorrent to help things along..but it depends also a great deal on seeders and leechers.

Private trackers are 10 times better at maintaing the speed needed..for large files but as Matty said if its VM your with..they will let you download 1-2GB at a steady 10MB or whatever speed your BB is..then slash it to 2MB..for 5 hours.

as todd says seeders/leechers make a diff

im downloading 8gb of film & it says it will take 2 days

but last week i downloaded something that was a few gig & it was going at about 1.2mb - 1.4meg a sec

You're best downloading at say 4 or 5 in the morning - I get about 30kb/s at this time of day for torrent download, but about 800kbs at that time of day.

Step 2. Find the Setup.exe file, double-click on it and the installation Process should start.

Step 3. After installation is complete, Do Not play the game or else it will ask you to enter the activation code.

Step 4. Were gonna activate the game using the cracked files.

Step 5. Open the "Crack" folder.

um yea, im confused, When i press DOWNLOAD THIS TORRENT it doesn't work, it just shows a 167 kb file that i cannot open.

Andy..that torrent will never finish with 0 seeders..what you are getting just now is different parts of the file..but without seeders youll never get it finished.

Think of it like a pack of cards..someone gives you all the spades and so many diamonds..cos thats all they have as well..but without someone with the whole deck no one can get the hearts,clubs and rest of the diamonds.

Okay maybe thats a crap analogy..but thats the way i understand it.

I'll find you one with plenty of seeders and PM you it.

I see Matty..ty for that...i have been using torrents for a while likes..but still dont fully understand them.

i only found out myself recently

also if you press T in the about utorrent screen you can play a tetris clone

andy, at the top of the torrent it will say availability

whats it say for the flight sim?



thats one im seeding, 0 (of 24 connected) seeders but 7(of 47 connected) leechers and between them & me the file is completed 3.739 times


is it at a 0.xxx or 1.xxx??

Ermm cant see the availabilty thing? seems to speed up for 2 mins then go dead slow for 8 mins? rhood i done away with the usb dongle, i have vodafone.ie landline and broadband. whats the trains like?

Errm your not downloading via a mobile dongle are you? jesus make sure you have an unlimited data plan or you will pay shit loads for going over your limit.

thats a magnet link as used in Vuze (Azerus) ive never been able to make em work so no sue trying

as for availability,
right click the bar with the seeders/leechers etc etc and a list should pop up

when it does availability should be halfway down

then tell us what the availability is
