Anyone here a member of this?

The Freecycle Network

now im all for giving but its getting beyond ridiculous now

im signed up to the 2 local ones & one day cant go by without someone asking for either

current gen consoles
faulty consoles
old consoles- ataris, megadrives (ones that fetch a fair few quid)
games for any console
cars (several times ive seen it)
computers
& just today, a 320gb exteranl hdd as "its needed to transfer files to another computer & i need to keep important files incase my computer fails" - if they were that important you'd buy one youtself, they're cheap if you know where to look & theres a fair few pc shops in my area that do em at a reasonable price

i blame too much publicity, it was fine before it was broadcast all over the cowing place :mask:

Yeah i'm on the gloucester one. It's ok but the emails you get is crazy. It's settled down now but at the start i got hundreds lol. I got a remote control car and a printer scanner from it. I have given a large monitor but have seen stuff like a piano being given away. I almost got a mountain bike too.

I think its a great idea, but there must be some absolute chaff people are trying to offload. I imagine the site went mad when the fiat was being given away.
