Im not too sure if theres a rule on ebay , but I know any imported car has to have the MPH and KPH speedo clock face on it. As its the law.

Not too keen on subaru's but I do like the tourings,

oh i get what you mean now.The import garage did mention it when i bought it but i was to impatient and didn't want to wait a week for them to sort it.I did look into getting some dials from lockwood but as i got used to it i never did bother.

If a buyer requested it i would sort it no prob's. the 110 MPH dials are peanuts. It's just hassle doing the changeover.

Cheers again.

Its taking the dash out and apart thats a twat. You then have to line up the dials again which if you get it wrong you have to do it all again. Japanse cars were limited to 110 MPH which is why all imported cars from japan only go up to 180Km/H, even when without the limiter they will go 140+.

thats right cardie, It's actually easier to change the pulse's from the gearbox as there's no messing about with the dials then as you just ignore the KPH on the dial. But the git with that is the odometer starts recording the mileage in the normal way so you end up having to do some maths to work out the actual mileage the car's done. and if you lose what the odometer had recorded when the changeover was done you lose the true distance the cars ever covered. For which is the reason i've never done that.

Clusters can be easily programmed, you just take them to the dealers or do it yourself. On older cars where there mechanical you have to change the entire speedo (which will just be the one until) to a differnt spec.
