Been making a start on this. An old, BFM S1 machine machine called Tristar. Plays a lot like Double Chance, with a few differences.

Shouldn't be too long hopefully. A couple of days, or so. :)

Picture of what it looks like attached.

A true classic Ploggy....

Don't remember 'tristar' but I played its clone many many times.

Ooohh smashing I remember this one well, always seemed to be impossible to gamble up the yellow column 'cause it was all crap numbers :D

IIRC it had a 10p £4 and a 20p £4.80 variant - which flavour do you have Ploggy? (The 20p version would be my preference but either would be super :))

It's set to the original £4/10p setting, mate. The 20p roms are available, but that would mean redoing all the win tables and amounts to match the roms and I'm already well into the £4 version. :(

I'll look into getting the £4.80 version done at a later date. :)

The £4 version will be great, it's just that the 20p/£4.80 versions are what I remember playing and I think they're a better game too, as the stake to jackpot ratio means it can be more generous with the Big Moneys and Jackpots.

IIRC they did all start as 10p/£4 and BFM just upgraded them for 20p play, although that said I'm pretty sure Double Chance was one of the first machines to start out at the 20p stake.

Either way the release will be appreciated, I still fire up your Double Chance DX from time to time, love it when the Winning Streak goes mental and chucks some straight jackpots in :D

I absolutely love Bellfruits of this era. Cash force, Cash attraction, Lynx, Cash explosion etc. I used to nearly always take Skill cash as a good percentage of the time i could get to the £2 repeater. It got to the point where other lads in the arcade would give me 20p to do the Skill cash for them! lol

Yeah, the good old skill chance machines, where it actually took a bit of skill to play them...

Looks like I'm almost done, here. :)

Still need to know which year this came out for the release notes. Does anyone on here know when this was released? Can't see any dates on the flier, but I'm guessing late 80's.

Picture of the finished article attached. Will be released when the testers get back to me. :)
