Hi, been playing a few of these recently and it got me wondering how the silver reel thing that shows how much was in your box works as alot of the time it shows £70 after ive allready dealed, so could i have really had £70 or can it change its self to reveal a smaller amount if i carry on no dealing? is it a con? just wondering.

cheers

Don't know much about it but i know it has a mirror so you can't see whats in your box.

These mirrored reels are not fixed! if you had 1p and £70 left and you deal on say £28, it wont change! an easy way to explain is some of the reels have tiny marks/dots appear on the reel over time (maybe due to the heat inside the machine), now if you spot a "spot" on the reel and you deal and it shows megastreak, just remember where about the spot is and the next time it spins in you'll know straight away that you've got ms! ive done it on loads of donds etc its just down to memory knowing the little faults on them and using it to your advantage! another one is the £4 & £5 boxes, as its a reel, there will be a join in the mirror, where its glued together, now if you see the join at the top its £4 in your box, and if its at the bottom, yes its a £5!
ive had loads of megas ,70s etc by looking carefully at the reel, one of my mega streaks had a nice little scratch on the right side so i went all the way!! hope that helps! ;)

100% agree, i would never ever even sit next to a dond machine again let alone play 1,

they are the worst of the worst, in general £70 jp machines either have been rapped to hell and jackpotted, or you need to put £5 in at least to get on the board,

i say it all the time about these machines, they were made with very little things in mind apart from giving the machine owner an awesome return on profits, and made to be playable mainly by people who either dont care about throwing there money away, or "lurkers" that sit in the pub all day, wait for a fair amount to be put in without much being paid out, and then go in it and get a nice return off £20 or so.

someone i know actually runs a busy pub and they have a dond machine there, they even admit its easy profits, i think twice a week they empty it, sometimes finding more than they take in a whole day selling drinks in just a few days of the machine being there

iv had some very bad times when i used to play thoese machines, in fact i never recall once on any dond iv played that i have made even the slighests of profits

I see these dond games day in day out, hundreds of times (although not for me as I don't play DOND games) and the game on the £70jp DOND is clearly fixed against the £70 box. Although there is 16 boxes there, I'd say having seen thousands of DOND games I've seen it a 3/4 times, only then on ones that have 2 £70 amounts - ie. big deal, £70 and Mega Streak, where most only have £70.

The £35 jackpot ones used to send it a fair amount of times (ie. 1/16 ish), but on the £70 its pretty much £1-20 for sure, yes the £70 or mega is possible but extrodanarily unlikely.

The only DOND that can rip you off is the one with the reel on the screen, there is no way to know what it is going to be. A bit like the cards on joker poker when u get a 3 and u go hi and its a 2 you can never tell.

Yep thats the video ones the player there called, they take about £20 to give you a board and give you about three spins then kills you off unless you play dond which you often only end up being offered 7 or £8.

if you go on the ones in the showboadt at hunstant, with the mirror, you can clearly see the indentation of the cash value, therefore u know immediately whats in your box

Yeah, but you'll get barred from there before you stick a coin in!

I've played a few DONDs with the indentation trick, some of the ones I've played have had the cash amounts embossed on the reel, maybe the film was pushed down too far or something?
But perfect to see them spinning and then landing on 2p...Wonderful. I think I'll have the feature stack please!

(DOND is around now on this site..... How long was this sig out of date...!)
