hi, just wondering how to change the payout percentage on my barcrest cock a doodle dough as it seems to be paying out too much, think its on 78 percent at the moment but i want it abit lower.

the machine might just be needed to pay out to meet the percentage

theres a small 4 switch card on the motherboard and these are the settings

ok cheers, cant seem to find a 4 switch card, have noticed a green plug with 78% on it, would that mean i cant change it unless i got a differant plug with a differant percentage on it?

not at all,

you can of course buy a replacement "prize key" with the % payout you want or as cardie1 says there is the dil switches you can change % with,

on the main board (the part that cant be removed), i think if you remove the stake key, then switch the dil switches on/off to set the payout you want it will work

78% is the standard percentage used by most pubs, it is in no way too high!! If its paying out in the short term now, it will soon take it back and level itself back to 78% in the next few weeks.

The only places that seem to use lower than 78% is service stations and train stations/airports etc. which lets face it, these places rip you off for everything, food drink etc....

Best option is to purchase a % key off ebay.

Barcrest did allow you to alter the % via the MPU5 main board on the gen cabs but ive found not all my horizon cabs like me changing the settings via the mpu, so ive needed to use the adjustable keys myself.

Most keys on ebay are quite cheap and sometimes even cheaper than us in the trade can buy them at.
