Hi all,

Just wondering, does anyone know if the machine listed below (Cock a Doodle Dough in a Horizon Cabinet) would take an NV7 note acceptor which is connected to a stacker box?

£35 JACKPOT - BARCREST HORIZON - COCK A DOODLE DOUGH ! on eBay (end time 20-Sep-09 20:00:22 BST)

Cheers!!

Nope, won't take a NV7+stacker unless your good at woodwork / metal bashing.
Would take NV8/10, JCM, Lumina...

Ah right ok. So which cabinets will take a note acceptor with stacker box then? Not too concerned which type of acceptor it is (as long as it isnt a lumina).

Cheers!

Most (if not all) pub awp's do not use stacker's, normally only used on casino cab's b3's etc,

Nothing stopping you from doing a bit of wood work to mount one vertically say to the side/base of any machine.

Thats very helpful, cheers!! Last questions then (hopefully!)... If a machine accepts the NV range of note acceptors, does this mean that if I connected an NV acceptor which had a stacking box (assuming I made some adjustments to make it fit), it would work correctly?

Also, if a machine accepts NV note acceptors, does that mean it will accept ANY NV acceptor, or would it have to be a specific model number?

Thanks again!!

F.B.

Yes, NV7,8,9 & 10 all use the same connector and comms, it would be just a matter of finding space for it and maybe having to extend the loom.

Fair play if you really are gonna start chopping holes out of the cab!

Brilliant, thanks for that advice, I really appreciate it! I do fancy having a machine which has a note acceptor and stacker. I was going to fit a new acceptor and stacker to my warped machine, which was in the "Global" type cabinet (I think). Anyone familiar with that machine will know it wouldnt be a straight fit, so I was going to cut a hole in the cabinet at the bottom and fit it there. In the end a mate bought the machine from me, so I didn't. However, armed with Roderz and Baz advice, I can now buy a machine knowing roughly how I will get an acceptor and stacker to work!! Thanks again!

Ok, sorry but here is another set of questions! Its a good job you lot are so knowledgable lol!!

I'm considering getting THIS machine, as I've played it and its great fun... THE FLINTSTONES-CLUB FRUIT MACHINE-£250 JACKPOT on eBay (end time 23-Sep-09 20:00:11 BST)

I know its quite old, so I'd like to know if it will take a note acceptor of the NV variety, and if it does, is it new enough that it would take one of the NV's and note stacker boxes?

Ignore the fact that there may or may not be enough space for the acceptor and stacker, I'll make room for it with cabinet modifications, I just want to know if it would plug in and work?

Thanks once again!!!!!!!!!!

Mmm
Tricky one that,
It's by JPM possibly running Impact tech, I've not delt with that for a long while and don't know if it would suport a BNV

Also bearing in mind it's age. on older machines inserted notes would only spit out change - not got to credit like todays machines

Really don't know thb

probably not.

we have had a few machines in this cabinet and you need to have a specific jpm note acceptor plates which dont come with the machine and also if it is an older version of impact technology the the noteys wont work anyway.

Thanks once again for the excellent quality of information given! I've decided to give that machine a miss, and have now found this one instead -:

CLUB FRUIT MACHINE - CASH ADDER - MASSIVE £250 JACKPOT on eBay (end time 27-Sep-09 19:48:16 BST)

It looks like QPS club Pink Panther, well it looks like it has a similar game, anyway, which is good.

My question, as always, is does anyone know if this will take a note acceptor at all, and if so, which one?

Sorry for the mind numbingly boring questions, but eventually I'll decide upon a new machine, and get the one that I really want and it will be the perfect machine for my needs, thanks to the help from everyone here.

Cheers!!

Thats a shame, I'll have to do a bit of woodwork to modify the cabinet to take the stacker then!

Do machines not always come with the loom already attached?

Also, what is a note acceptor box? And sorry if thats a silly question!!

it just all depends if the loom or part of the loom has been removed to get another machine up and running(this can happen when buying second hand machines.

the note acceptor boxes are the boxes that secure the note when inserted down to the bottom cashbox.

Thanks again Baz! The guy assured me the loom is in place :-) But...

OH MY GOD IM SO SORRY!!!!!! I've seen this and remembered playing it years ago, and would prefer this one...

CLUB FRUIT MACHINE - FRUIT `N NUDGE - £250 JACKPOT on eBay (end time 03-Oct-09 14:51:07 BST)

But... I don't know if it would take a note acceptor!!!! I KNOW it wont take a stacker box, but an acceptor would be good!

Any ideas if it will?

Heh, where is John from MPU Mecca when you need him.... he hates Maygays, and especially Epoch with a passion :D

OK, from some of the Global machines in the same cab I've seen in times past, the acceptor normally sits at the top centre of the cash door on the front, or just above this area, and I would assume this clubber would be no different, but as always, baz is the one to ask.

Cheers Stan!

The actual device WILL physically sit in that particular cabinet, I need to know though if the machines internals will actually accept and run a note acceptor! And if they will, which one!

I'm more than happy to modify the cabinet to move the acceptor to a better location, like the bottom door, where I can also have a stacker box in the space available!

i would like to say yes the machine will happily take a note acceptor but i have seen so many maygays that have had bits missing or wrong software.

again i would ask the seller if it has the loom is in it and what stan said is correct it goes where the maygay/global sign should be above the front door in the centre.
