do you mean the sample machine or the early and yamaha ones? If early & yamaha I'd love to know myself, my lapi (Vista Home Premium SP2) more often that not produces hissing and clicking (or completely distorted on mps2). Is there anyway to fix it?
The best I've managed so far is to set up a virtual pc running XP. Sound is ok on that but sometimes I get sessions where the emulation will slow down and speed up again (making for some fun skill stops)

Ok..for months and months i had this problem when i was on XP on my old PC and i searched high and low for a soundcard driver that was compatible with my mobo/chipset..and i came across one that turned all the sounds on my fruitys perfect.
My default soundcard was a C-Media AC97 and by installing this driver it made it into a SIS 7012 Wave Device..problem was solved.
Now im not saying this will work on all systems and i cannot be held responsible for any damage you may do to your PC..but if your willing to give it a shot..it may work or may not work..below is the link for the download..choose either Softpedia Mirror (US) or Softpedia Mirror (RO).
