This machine has stopped paying out coins. The meters clock when collecting, but the solenoids refuse to kick out the coins. All wires are intact and the 48v fuse in the power supply is ok. Do I need a replacement power supply ?

Do you have a spare MPU you can try a swap with? I had a similar problem before which was fixed by swapping the MPU. The interface broke for some reason.

Try clearing the ram this use to happen alot on older mpu4 club. If ur not worryed about removing the cover of your mpu. (remember turn the power off when doing this ) and short the battery out. or if you can get hold of a mpu4 ram clear board or a another game card from another mpu4 machine this will clear the ram as well

Thanks, I tried a replacement MPU4 board and it still does not work. I noticed that other 48v services like the bottom payout lamps are also not working so I looked closer at the power unit. The area around the blue wire into the transformer pcb board is discoloured (burnt?) so the problem may be here. Anyone got an MPU4 working power unit for sale?

You are in luck, there is one on ebay right now.

Be sure to check what the seller has written though, although with the age of your machine I can't forsee any problems.
