Is there anything worth knowing about "Hyper Viper" and "High Flyer".

Any tricks, features worth taking, *ahem* Emptiers?

Also what does everyone else think of these machines? I recently had the pleasure of playing them, and apart from being £25jps they were actually pretty good. Got on the feature more than expected.

Hyper Viper - never played. In a local chain pub [Hungry Horse (Greene King)], seems very popular but haven't played meself. Quite liked Vamp It Up, which was their newest machine prior to Hyper Viper, so might be ok :)

Hi Flyer - ARE YOU MAD?! lol, I haven't played a worst Barcrest machine in years, except for its clones, which are equally awful. Boards tend to be blocked at about £1.60 most of the time, often giving 12 nudges = £1.60. VERY flat profile, then starts putting on top board, which is blocked at about £4, and then finally gives the JP, from say 1 NORMAL shot in my experience :)

I'll play Hyper Viper when I find one on £5 - AND BEFORE ANYONE TELLS ME THEY PLAY CRAP ON £5 its worth realising you can work out what the features do, and it costs a damn deal less to do so!!

I thought it was fairly generous when i played it. But now that you mention it, watching a friend play it didn't seem to want to give any more than a fiver.

Must have caught it on a particularly good day.

Vamp it up does seem quite popular, i've only seen one near me but it's always in heavy use.

Ill back up BB's statement on HiFlyer.... had one in my last pub. They are shite. Best way to play Hi Flyer - Get jackpot from Golden Hold (2 steps each way) then will often flash next feature entry for invincible. Sometimes this flash repeats, giving you a total of £75... but normal £50 is your best win! The machine is crap though...

I apologise for my awful username and previous posts from 13 years ago. I was a misguided chav.

IMHO it doesn't offer enough features of value on boards for that to be much use..... Seems to be a definate block at £2 on general boards, and when it does give a high feature i.e Tutti Frutti, it'll normally fob you off with £2.

Took the Win Series once... top feature - (or is it 1 below?) - went for £7.

I suppose it can be a nice machine, but I would say that unless you've seen someone else walk away from it having lost a lost and refused all wins when on the Superboard I would'nt bother. Far too much effort to make it happy!

Think our pub had a clone of it - Top Dog, or something (?) and well i pumped at least 30 quid in it, kept getting onto the board but the £1.60 wins were all that was coming, and i wasn't taking them. In the end i started to just take £1.60 whenever i could, was taking out about £4 per 2 quid i put in, eventually walked off about even - didn't have that much fun playing it though.

Clones are Top Dog / Big Cheese / Super Star. All are equally bad :)

I love the way that they offer £2 repeat maximum from Cash shots, a crap feature [worth £2]..and then proceed to fill nudges up to 16 nudges.........= £1.60!

I think the thread title mentioned Hyper Viper - put £2 in last night, took £4 from the board - can't complain, paid for the beer! I have to confess I quite like the current Barcrests - much more than the previous crap [Hi Flyer clones]

Yarr, I know :)

I didn't make it clear, only wanted to say that Top Dog has loads of equally nasty clones!

Hyper Viper hasn't been cloned - seems to be on a similar setup though to Vamp It Up [a clone of Hot Stuff!]...I'm sure they will clone Hyper before long - but IMHO that wouldn't be a bad thing, seems like a nice enough bandit!

[emptied Spikers shrapnel cashbox, total = £67.15 [lord knows where the 15p came from!]....played Hyper Viper, New Cops N Robbers, Original Lord of the Rings [which I won't be doing again!!], and Doctor Dosh. Overall I came back with £91...and improvement I guess :)
