Upgrade now. You will not be dissapointed. I have seen a 100% playability increase.
I upgraded from 98 to 2000 today, not only do ALL my JPM machines work, but they run very well. No jerking when loading feature boards etc...
No pause between samples, for example on BigTop when you get the board, it plays a little tune before the main feature music, that used to have a 4 second gap, now it links perfect.
Ditch 98 now, its shit compared. Beleive me. This increase in performance was simply my operating system, no hardware upgrades at all.
I'm a happy bunny!

well i found 98 to be a pice of crap so i went on to m.e.i found that to be alot better.and as soon as xp was out i then went onto that which i find to be great. then when micosoft was offering to download there 2003 sever for a trail period from there site i though i have nothing to lose here.then when i had a system crash i said ok time for windows server2003 to go on.well that stayed on the system of 2 hours and what aload of crap it was.so i went back to xp.and am still useing it to day and i think it has got to be the best for your computer
thanks flyer

Microsoft Winows 2003 Server is basically a server product and runs lots of services in the background like file & print sharing, active directory, and is pointless to run on the desktop, and will run like crap on a normal PC. But saying that it's still Windows XP with a few tweaks and a load of server functions built in.
So if you dont need a server use XP.
