I was down Southend the other day for the first time in ages. I noticed that a lot of the £5 jackpot machines were 20p a go. I'm not convinced that they were set to pay out more often....well not in the experience I had! I don't think it's right because your money goes too quickly. After 26+ go's, you can't make your money back even with the jackpot FFS!!

I prefer 5p a go or 10p at a push for £5 jackpots.

Actually, now I remember, when I was much younger I remember a bloke working in the Mr B's arcade. I go to Southend once every few months now and he no longer works there, but the loser still hangs around the arcade, peering behind the reels and checking what machines people are playing. I really feel sorry for the guy if this is what his life has amounted to. I pity the fool! Nothing p*sses me off more than people stalking, checking how much you are winning and then hoping on the machine as soon as they get the chance.

Some people are beyond help!

I'm pretty sure that the current Category D fruit machine classification states that £5 *monetary* jackpot (so £5 cash then) can't be set above 10p. £8 *non-monetary* (so a £8 teddy which costs £30 to win) can be set at up to 50p.

I'm probably a bit out of date though :)

If my info is still correct, then a £5 / 20p machine would actually not be under a Cat D license, and would require AMLD e.t.c. to be paid, and also shouldn't be playable by under 18's.

Ben, got a juggling jackpots in the arcade which has a multistake of 10p, 20p and 30p. I have before put a tenner through in about 2 minutes with just one hold and that was off full too. I did eventually get 40 out of it but that isn't the point, if i had gone on that with a tenner left i would have been close to smacking 10 shades of shit out of the machine.

Hi

There is an arcade in North Ormesby (leisureland) that has a whole load of sit down Electrocoin games on £5/20P play, this is an over 18's only arcade, there are Big 7's Super Red Bars, Magic 10,s and Bar X 7's at this stake, thay all seem to pay better on this stake than the ones he has on 10p play, I have had a good few runs of £20+ off them for arround a £5 in.

Whenever I'm on my way to Wales...
JPTRAR 30p multistake £5 on the way there
Jugglin Jackpots on the way back
Used to be a Casino Crazy(Global's take on Red Fruits U Sir) all these were 30p for 5 lines and £5JP
Also don't forget the number of DOND classics at 20p for 4 reels.
Do you think they can get away with it because of extra winlines or reels, like a loophole of sorts?

This is a site for EMULATION purposes of older machines. Not playing strategies.
If you are more interested in playing modern machines,
visit Jackpottyforums

(DOND is around now on this site..... How long was this sig out of date...!)
