Just a little warning incase anyone is running the emulators with a low spec computer (i.e less than 500MHz processor). While the Fst Fruits Rom was loading up, my CPU speed was 569MHz, not bad for a 450MHz chip! Just be careful incase you burnout your processor.
(Note: If, like me, you are using this spec of computer, it's about time you upgraded it!)

Although these emulation programs are CPU hungry it is very unlikely that the program instructs the processor to overclock itself, this can only be done at the motherboard/BIOS level.

Fair enough, t's true that my PC can play up a bit - the clock messes up a lot, changed the battery on the motherboard, changed CMOS settings, the lot and still it's 1999.

Sounds like you have a motherboard fault, maybe some dry joints near the battery, and don't get the souldering iron out as you WILL fry the board. Maybee an upgrade is sooner rather than later you can pick up a new board and chip cheap enough !
