I won't quote the whole post and this isn't meant as an insult or whatever but -

Then you missed the bit about the badly drawn notes on a DX that had very bad white lines around them with f**king awful colouring via brightness. This is something that you don't want to see on a DX as the imaging shoulld be flawless between the background and the physical lamp itself.

The comments also mention the poor mixture of lighting that we had on the DX that mixed standard brightness and contrast lamping along with omni lamping. In that case, the mixture didn't work very well.

There is three problems mentioned straight away.

Equally, it was great to see that Kriss followed this layout with a really nice Battle Axe that had none of the above mentioned problems that I recall.

/me bets he won't have his 'reviewer' account anymore hehe :D

Both review accounts are gone for the moment.

I also had to remove some of the posts in that area as the fool I was, I don't have a backup of the images loaded or the upload code that I'll have to rewrite again later on down the line. They were full of broken images which was bloody annoying as they actually formed a good body of the post. So much for scripting when you don't edit it for new areas. :bigeyes08::bigeyes08::bigeyes08:

That I apoligise for.

Can be that bad, i adopted your classic style layout :D - and put my own twist on it :)

Ha... ...and to think my style was an adpotion of Steve P's!

I'm scared now. Might release my layout under a different name and if it gets a good review i will own up n say its mine.

Nope!

Still there but can't get to it, probably an issue with the hosting.

As a rule of the thumb, if The Mecca is down, so will be DIF.

As soon as Pete see's whatever the problem is I am sure he'll fix it. :bigeyes27:

From what I can gather (I am sure MR H will correct me if I am wrong), this site holds no emulations of it's own, but is a place where critique can be made of other emulations, in order to help the creators improve their output.
Go on - blow it up. You know you want to

So last year DIF opened and then closed again, far too soon in my opinion.

A couple of weeks ago I posed a question at Dads about whether the original DIF was archived, as I am interested in FME history. Harvey has now re-opened DIF

Here is the thread

DIF Site Archive?

And here is the site
