As I said in the shoutbox I get this error all the time and is getting anoying now. The last chat i sent was not posted in the chatbox and if i try to send it again i get this error and need to refresh the page to get rid of it. I will try and post a recording of my screen to show the other problem im having.

I get that at times, but usually when chats busy.

It does it to me anytime ady, 3am when no one else is in chat and when there is loads in chat, dont matter what time of day it is it just does it as and when, but has been loads more since the new look fe has been up.

I get the same as RH, and againever since the site was updated it has got worse. I always blamed it onmy crummy connection speed, but it looks like ain't the only one.
There are tiems when I have to shut down and restart to stop it being stuck in refresh mode, so I suspect it is something to do with the auto-refresh.

i also get the same as RH + also the shout box keeps going into inactive mode when left for 5 mins

I've never seen this happen. Do you get it on this page Fruit-Emu (Fruit Machine Emulation) - Powered by vBulletin ?

What update are you referring to? The whole forum upgrade of a few weeks ago or the update to the homepage last night. Might also be worth knowing what browsers you are using. I've tried this on Firefox, Safari and IE 7 with no problems.

The shoutbox inactive mode is on purpose as otherwise if you leave the homepage showing it will refresh every 30 seconds wasting bandwidth. I can increase the timeout until inactive mode appears if you feel it would be useful.

What update are you referring to? The whole forum upgrade of a few weeks ago or the update to the homepage last night. Might also be worth knowing what browsers you are using. I've tried this on Firefox, Safari and IE 7 with no problems.
Twas the whole forum upgrade a couple of weeks ago. I am using IE7 with Windows Vista operating system.

Have seen this happen only a couple of times before..dunno what it is..its as if the site freezes for mabye 20-30 seconds then catches up all at once.
Could be the way my browser is handling traffic at that paticular time or..whatever..not a biggie though as its only happened as i says twice or 3 times before.
Mmmmmm...Sandy ive 'ad her ye know.

Cheers Todd. I reckon we are all describing symptoms of the same problem, although if it happens with me I have to shut down and restart IE7 - maybe I should change browser?

I have been having this problem since the upgrade a few weeks ago. The other problem with the chat box is still annoying me. It is mainly on IE7 but sometimes with FireFox. I have the latest java installed too.

Did you remove the old java updates before installing the latest java?
