Is this true that when a machine goes into red mode you are guarenteed the top prize, or the jackpot? Apparently you can tell when a machine is in this mode as the "Machine Logo" will turn a different colour (Usually Red) or will begin to flash etc. Apparently If this happens you can keep going to win at the very least a Jackpot!
Does any of the EMU-Machines on this site have this so called RED MODE and has any of you acctually activated it whilst playing them?
If so, what machines and how much money did you get out of it.

Almost all machines have Red Modes, normally referred to as an IM [Invincible Mode]
Examples I know of are too many to list - recent ones inlcude Treasure Quest DX [Says 'Holy Mackerel - Its Pure Gold'] on the Alpha and the eyes and titl keep flashing. To prove its an IM, try skillstopping on the Lose square - it says 'Invincible!' and can't kill you!
Cracker, another recent release [at least the new 1024res is]..the title goes RED and all of the exchange points are lit, and the Hi-Lo can't kill ya.
If you need any Machine Specific examples, just let me know, I have experience of many of em :D

Yeah ill second that, flashing logo, red logo etc... all means you cant lose.
UNLESS the logo is already red before you play the machine.

Pot of gold also has the red feature. And yes it can be done on the emu.
The centre feature turns red and allows to to get straight to it. Thankfully there are no lose squares so you are on your way for a jp.
Its in the downloads section under jpm.

Lol, I suppose I could have easily been misinterpreted - DON'T SKILLSTOP ONTO A LOSE SQUARE TO TEST IF ITS AN IM OR NOT!!
I seem to remember that you could do that on Monty Python and it just laughted or something, good 'ol Spanish Inquistion mode :D
Modern BFM Diamond Mine clones will generally ONLY ADD Cash squares on an IM, and I know several others that do this.

P.S] Seeing as we've started this thread, if anyone does want to know any machine specific IM's feel free to ask! COLLEGE IS CLOSED!! HAHAHA!

Card Shark has a red mode which when you land on lose the lcd says invincible. Also on the emulator Ooh Ahh Dracula has an invincible mode the logo flashes which just goes to cash only but if you have a bonus to start and take a boost before you reach the jp it stops flashing for some reason. Some machines are quite obvious when they IM (invincible mode) like wildfire or monty pythons the whole screen flashes up and down but others are less obvious like knockout (mazooma) the little eyes flash in the guys coat and the stardust (Jpm) the little stars turn red. Its just a matter of keeping your eyes open if something different happens then usual.

not all reds are guarenteed. newer barcrests such as battle axe, fireball etc.... all can go red, but it just means the features r super.
all early maygays (itilian jobb, great escape, culedo super sleuth and such like) all have good red modes

Yeh, but in this case, you have to get red mini, white mini and blue mini on the winline in that order, so there's a little bit of control there...

And of course, the famous Spiker's flashing eyes when he says 'here we go'...
Winning is not a crime...

My dad never believed me when I said that Manic Streak Features [VIVID] was on an IM when the ENTIRE MACHINE went red. Well, the middle column, and title anyway :)
Generally if an Alpha says 'Super Feature' when you enter a board that signifies one - the one I got shagged by once was Hi-LoWatha by BFM.
The dudes head went red, and the alpha said Super Feature, and it killed me on higher than a 2. Mind you, it gave me a 'normal' board after which gave me the JP from 3 nudges, so that made up for it!!
The only way to know what is safe it to experiment!!

he he Manic Streak Features.. That was such an easy machine to force...
It took me two months to figure out you cant lose on the first gamble....
If you keep Gambling away the board gets better each time by 1 For example if you died when the cash was £5 the next board will give you at least £6 or whatever the next one above £5 was.
You could regually force it to give a yellow top streak followed by two red modes and then a barcode. Allthough it could cost you £40 to do this the £80+ winnings from two red one forced and a barcode were well worth it.

Pgaming, your one lucky dude...... streaking a Vivid like that, i wouldnt imagine it does that very often.
There is of course an easier method to get this to go...ala Pie/c4 ect.
Remember to take the nudges on the red board though ! as there are no feature to time out on this one.
You'l be lucky to see one knowadays so iam sure iam doing no harm saying this here.
P.S, on the subject of machines with funny names, how about this one then from Ace....... Red hot chilli STEPPERS !!!! ( YES IT DOES EXSIST )

Referring back to the old Maygay machines that went red (italian job etc). I had a horrific experience with an Italian Job in my local pub a few years ago. I use to run this machine reguarly much to the annoyance of the landlord. He got an engineer in and I dont know exactly what he done to the machine but I was actually killed on a red feature and it never seemed to run nearly as well. This was before the diabolical £15 program was introduced.
