the connections we hve at school you can get an upload of 100 mbps easyEh ??WTF !!! How can your upload speed be double your download speed.

mine:
I use a VPN, and my ISP is Virgin. Without the VPN my ping is 15ms, and just under 10Mbit on the 10Mbit package.

Not sure whats going on with my internet tonight!! It went off for about 20 minutes then it was back on then off again. Rang virgin who said there is nothing wrong with the connection so did a speed test and to my shock horror I got this result.

looks like it's getting up to speed now 
I was on 45/51mb download and 1.67mb upload and now this /\ very happy but cant understand why I have it as we are not due to even have the increase in upload speed to 5mb until April 2012!! I can't see it being this new increase virgin have only just announced. http://www.bbc.co.uk...nology-16491614
Funny todd was talking about this the other day saying they may do it in reverse order so the people that waited the longest for the upload bonus get the new download first.
What made me laugh was it was at 350mb for about 3 seconds then settled down to 93MB
This picture is just over 4.5MB and uploaded in less than 3 second so I know it's not the speed test thats wrong I deffo have the 5MB upload I just need a large file to download so I can test the download speed anyone got any ideas? torrents are no good I need a decent size file from a well known site. I know todd is going to be looking forward to his 60MB internet, all that porn he can get even faster looool.
Here is a ping test too, not sure what it all means tho!

Ping just simply means the time it takes your PC to send out a request to the server and your PC to get an answer back.
Hello..123.456.8.9 are you there....yes im here (time taken = ping) measured in milliseconds , with broadband being so fast these days.
Thats a good speed although i would have expected if you were at your full 100mb to get a reading of about 104,105ish mb/s , upload of about 5.4mb/s ish.
It is possible it hasnt been done yet , keep an eye on the speed of the line you may find it will go up or down .. ill probably need to wait ages on mine...grrrrr.
