If you are a parent like me, i heard this news item and after listening to it i found myself actually crying.

A woman in Ohio had a row with her boyfriend so the bitch put her 1 month old daughter in a microwave a cooked her alive. She is due to be sentanced most likely the death penalty. I know child cruelty happens but how can you be so f*****g sick to do something like this. I went straight to my daughters room and just saw her ying in bed and i thought of that poor baby. I hope the bitch rots in hell

I doubted this post as an internet scam and did a quick search, i'm amazed and saddened to find out its actually true---I thought it sick to say the least and was about to remove as it surely wasn't for real.

All I can say is that let's hope they make her death in the electric chair a slow one...maybe send a few volts through...and keep repeating on and on until the sick bitch begs for mercy.....and then send her to her death...PAINFULLY!!!!

Well its quite simple really.... If, ( and she should!) she gets the death penalty they should build a microwave big enough to put her in and kill her the same way the F**King sick Bitch !!

Whilst I sympathise with the fact that sentiments and emotions are running high over this issue, if society/the establishment punishes out of revenge and retribution by imposing on the criminal any sadistic form of like for like, then that makes that society/the establishment no better than the criminal it is punishing.

If what you are suggesting was meted out as a form of deterrent against similar things happening again, then I could see a somewhat stronger argument for justification but I still don't agree with it.

Please don't mistake me for some hand-wringing do-gooder. I hate them more than anyone; they are the cancer that has caused our present problems both in this country and a few others.

I am a fervent advocate of the death penalty for certain crimes and would have quite a number hanging from lamposts throughout the land as a deterrent to others if I had my way but the justice would be handed out swiftly, humanely and publicly; the latter being a warning to any others that were contemplating the same crime.

Deliberatley to inflict unbearable pain on the convicted criminal as punishment - that's a no no - whatever the sordid and foul nature of their crime.

In terms of punishment there is a difference between bearable and unbearable pain. The law-abiding society must stay on the right side of what it imposes on the non-law-abiding sector. If only it were the same vice-versa!

It's stuff like this that makes you realise we are by far the worst species that walks this planet. There's no other species in the world that would do something as sadistic as this.

I don't agree with capital punishment but crimes against children are the worst kind. I hope she gets everything she deserves. Even if she only goes to jail she will be crucified there daily for the rest of her life.

Although I am not a father, I have a lot of great nieces and great nephews from all my sisters' children, and the thought that anything like what that poor child must have gone through before dying shudders me to the bone.

I would have said at one time, "only in America", but sadly now, our British society seems to be moving the same way.

In a sense I hope there is life after death, because when she is given the death penalty (which she surely deserves) I hope there is an hell, where she will burn for all eternity suffering the pain that she must have put her child through!

I know what you are saying Decaff and yes, I did post in the heat of the moment and after a few beers, but on reflection today, I still feel the same way.

All crimes are illegal, some more than others obviously, but there comes a time when certain criminals overstep the mark and in this case...I believe it is one of those times.

I too, hate the do-good brigade and if they had any say in this matter, or even if this had happened in the UK, I've no doubt at all that they would all be rushing to her defence, saying that it was the man's fault for leaving her and then saying that all she needs is psycho-analysis and 6 months in a mental institution and she'll be as right as rain.

More serious criminals are spawning new ways of torturing and killing their victims. This must be stopped now. The only way to do this in my opinion is to give them some of their own medicine and SHOW that these types of crimes will not be tolerated by society anymore. I for one am sick to death of reading about crimes against children, paedophiliacs are the sickest sort, teenagers "kicking" people to death, etc.....

Fine, give them the electric chair for murder if it's an old fashioned shot to the head resulting in instant death but in very rare cases like this then I believe that these people should be made an example of....to deter anyone else getting the same idea. Basically what I'm trying to say is that while any sort of heinous crime is abhorrent...those who step waaaaaay over the line should be given a taste of the medicine they have dealt out to their victim.
