Thanks

How much money fills the hoppers in these machines?

So is it feasable that say if I put a couple of hundred quid in from nothing and then a mate comes along with £1.00 he could get a 2 x repeat Jackpot? and Ive lost £75.00!

Not that Iam tight mind!

£125 standard, £250 with a note acceptor fitted.
It's unlikely that you will want to put that much in!

Whilst it is feasable that your mates could empty it from a quid, it's unlikely!

I dont think these line of machines apart from unchipped lucky strike, where ever in danger of going empty, pretty sure the streak when forced was probably £50-70ish, mind you dont rule it out lol, my global pheonix knights machine once did about a £150 drop, normally this machne is jackpot then stone dead but it threw in a crazy streak once, wasnt even forcing it either.

Regarding emulating bully for you would probably still play on even if mute, as its a different type of machine to anything emulated

So does a Barcrest fruity only pay a jackpot when the hoppers are full / nearly full?

Excuse my ignorance but once they are full the money drops into a cashbox - right?

Hypothetically what if you only played a fruity with 50ps or £2coins what happens if it keeps paying out in £1s?

keep your eye on the barcrest logo at the top of the trail when u 1st enter the feature. if its lit - normal board, if it flashes on feature start for a couple of seconds then stops - no lose board(land on feature and keep gambling on any number til u reach darts marathon).

I know its not a trick site but thought u would like 2 watch out for it happening. :bigeyes20:

Got it today and it looks soooo sweet!

Just have a problem :(

The machine has this lound continuous buzz and when the lights are flashing in standby the buzz goes in time with the lights.

I have identified where the problem is - the reel motors (all of them including the 1-12 reel)

Oddly eneough if no lights are on there is no sound and the sound stops when the reels are spinning.

GUTTED!

Any suggestions before I complain to my seller?

It's normal. Nothing to worry about. Just electrical interference.

You really think it is normal?

Its pretty loud. (louder that my fridge) and as I said it changes with the flashes of the lights.

The noise if I just leave it streams out of the coin slot.

If the house is quiet I can hear it in the next room.

PLUS:-If you open the machine and no lights are flashing those motors are still buzzing away.

Are you saying I should not complain?

I'm saying it's perfectly normal!

It's not coming out of the coinslot - it's coming from the speaker next to it.

You just don't hear it in pubs because they aren't quiet places.

so it is - good shout!

I have taken the speaker off and screwed it towards the back of the cabinet - thats a lot better!

Not silent but a lot better!

Cheers DD! :)

That's right, it originates in the power supply and makes itself known through the speakers.
The more current draw, the louder the noise - hence why it changes with the lights.
Some machines are worse than others - Epoch tech ones can be deafening!

It can sometimes be lessened by changing the caps in the PSU.

If I could continue to draw on your knowledge, guys, I have some questions:-

1. It appears the machine was fitted with a note acceptor in a previous life so the hopper is set at £250.00 - can I set it back to £125? If so how?

2. What happens if you put say £50 in the hopper and then press the hopper full button - I know that any extra money put in falls to the bottom, but will it effect payouts at all?

3. Can I reset all the counters - money in, paid out etc.

4. Any tricks or techniques to getting the bulb housing out of their holes (already damaged the plastic trying! (Twist? Pull? Squeeze?)

Apreciate it!

1. It should be a dipswitch option. I don't have a manual to hand but someone here will be able to point you to the right one.
2. If you win more than is in the hopper, then it will stop and put up "IOU £--" or "call attendant".
3. If they are mechanical, then no. If they are electronic then there is probably a way. Why would you want to?
4. If you find one then please let me know! I HATE that particular type of bulbholder...

there will be a lead that runs where the note acceptor fits back to the mpu, unplug it.

electronic meters can only be reset by fitting a brand new electronic meter.pm me if you want one(£15 inc postage)

i find the easiest way is to try and get one side of the bulb holder out of the plastic casing and the twist slightly and pull.(you may also need to take a few bulb holders out just to get to one bulb as the wiring can be quite tight i places.

Or just put £125 in the hopper, hit the hopper top up button. Not a solution but a workaround that's easy to do :)

its the high pulse rate that travels through the reels and the electric passing through the speeker thats making the noise lol allll machines do it if i were u i wud just have the kettle boiling all the time to drown out the sound

get it while you can.

dont know how he can sell them at that price even though it doesn't cost £2.50 to post it,he would still be making a loss if he has bought it trade price.
