I am currently in the process of designing my first website guys. I'm using Dreamweaver to build the site, Fireworks to design and edit the graphics and Flash 8 Pro to design slide shows, picture shows, etc. My problem is this.

I have managed to get a picture slideshow running in Flash Pro, saved it as a swf file, uploaded it to the site and it is running fine....BUT, I can't get rid of the controller button which activates it. Using the above tools can anyone tell me how to get rid of the controller from the picture slideshow and also have it run automatically when loaded instead of having to click on the controller to run it. I have looked at the different behaviours but am unsure as to which one affects it. I have tried loading it into Dreamweaver and got so far...but the bugger just sits on the first slide when I preview it in the browser until I click the control Icon.

Cheers guys, thanks in advance. :)

I was very tempted to reply earlier with this comment made too.

Thought that was a bloody well written thread and straight to the point....I couldn't see why that attracted a pisstake reply?

:bigeyes20:

Really hope someone can help with this. Today I deleted the mc_controller layer from the flash pro photo template leaving only the photo's. Saved and then loaded the swf file into Dreamweaver and set the properties to autoplay and loop and still it won't get past the first photo. If I put the controller layer back it will run fine...albeit with a horrible looking control panel on it.

How do I get this to autorun?

For starters dont use "front" page set ups like dreamweaver learn html and start at the basics, they dont handle well on ftp set ups .

Easiest way is to rip source from a web site you like , so much easier to build on gaz .

Cheers for the reply Toddy...I know some HTML but not enough to be able to use Flash Technology I'm afraid. I think you may be right though about ripping some code from a site somewhere as I cannot get this bugger to run...but the Macromedia code makes no sense to me. I'll post it on this thread tomorrow and perhaps you can tell me why it's not running. :)

It's going to be work related I'm afraid around the subject of housing issues. Boring stuff but I'll give you a shout once we've finished it and uploaded it on to the server.

This is the one that's being replaced...and you can see why :)
