Why don't people rate the downloads..? I think it is respectful to rate the downloads as it shows the people who spend the time working on them that they are appreciated.
Just a thought !

I'm not fussy on wether a download is rated as I'm sure others won't be either. Sure, it's nice to see a sign of appreciation but to be honest, seeing how many people have downloaded something I created is good enough for me.
I've only created a couple of layouts but have comtributed to several more in the form of artwork (photos ect...). Even seeing Fruit-EMU's first ever release 'MoneyTALKS' at position 7 in the 'Most Popular' listings makes me feel kinda good even though I only supplied the photos. You can't argue about the amount of pleasure a layout brings to the community with over 3000 downloads. Anyway, any layouts I produce aren't for personal glory but something I have done for the scene at large. I did it because I could. Not because I want appreciation. I couldn't speak for the many other layout creators of course but I'd be surprised if they didn't create layouts pure and simply for pleasure.

its all about the joy of turning a lifeless picture into something people can enjoy playing with....at least for me...
