hi, ive been having a debait in my arcade...

When the machine arrived it was set to 0 reserve and 0 cashpot, so i set it to 125 reserve and 250 cashpot.

the debait is, that players are swearing blind the cashpot can be forced, and i say the machine will only drop the cashpot when enough money has been cycled through it.

is the 250 cashpot a true reading that can be manipulated via the percentage , or despit the 250, does the machine have an internal reading which it uses as a true reading. hope ive not confussed ppl tooooo much.

While it's not 100% the same, we had a DOND club machine in the local club, with pots that built up progressively. However, it NEVER paid a cashpot. Ever. I don't believe that they are actually built up progressively anymore, they are basically just a 'tempter' for punters. If the machine isn't ready to pay, it isn't ready to pay.

Now that might not apply to the original Cops N Robbers, which I / we used to play a lot in the past, but I'm sure that any recent BFM will only pay the cashpot when the machine is behind percentage, a bit like an alternative jackpot.

As such, setting the pots to 250/250 doesn't mean the pots are full. Conversely, letting them build up to 250/250 naturally also doesn't mean that they are ready to be paid.

Thats my understanding anyway!

There are the signs (which you will be aware of) that the cashpot is due, other than that, there is no hope of them dropping unless the machine is desperate to pay out.

you are right nails, the machine will only pay out every few grand cycled through it - the cashpot amount is simply a way of telling how much has been cycled through since the last cashpot, so it's a guide of when the machine is about due, and when it's about due it can be forced. Hence why in certain situations you can force it.
