Good Morning All, this is gererally aimed at DX'ers, but is open to anyone who's used the package or heard things about it.
Basically, I've just obtained Photoshop Pro CS3, and after a chat with Baz, I'm not sure if it's a good or bad package, so I just wanted others opinions on it.
I've googled the program and most seem to say that CS3 is quicker and easier to use than CS2, and after a trial this morning, having never used PSP, CS3 seems straightforward to me.
So... Does anyone have any opinions as to which is the preferred tool of the DX'r? (I Used to use Marcromedia Fireworks, CS3 is pretty much the same but better)

cs3 has some nice additions, like the magic wand tool (quick selection) , and the clone tool is much improved on cs3 .
I still use ps7 prob the most tho prob because its my default application but i do like the look of cs3 .
Guess its a case of what your used to you tend to stick with (we old folk dont like change lol ) .
No harm in getting to grips with the latest version tho , can only be a good thing .

been using cs3 extended and its great and way faster than cs2. i use it for doing gaming textures and the ACTIONS and making ACTIONS saves hours and hours of work and the plugins are fantastic. the learning curve can be a bit steep but once the basics are mastered its good. I also use GIMP and PAINT.NET for alpha images and basic editing as basic cutting and alpha images using CS£ is like trying to open nut with a bomb.

I use the CS3 suite on a daily basis in my line of work. I wasn't that keen on it at first, more to do with I don't like to change my setup that often. Now I'm used to the new look I really like it and I find it faster than cs2.

Here's me thinking CS3 was worse than 2, well from what Ive heard anyway ???
Ah well, might just have to do a free upgrade
if the tools in it are better and it's faster. CS2 is slow right enough.
