Spartacash by impulse. always has been and always will be my favorite machine.

Its so playable. is hardly ever really tight gambling on numbers (ie you can nearly always win on a 10/11, even when gambling to the jackpot.

6 out of the 11 features are guaranteed jackpots if you know the tricks. (stop n step, nudge spinner, 11th heaven, cash attack, nudge timer, greek streak). The hidden features are easy to get and only win series pays less than a tenner.

just a shame that i only know the location of 1 of them :(

if anyone knows where theres any of these left in the north west, plz let me know :)

I have found the current batch of Ace machines to be the most enjoyable of the current crop as they have some semblance of playability. Coming a close second are Impulse's machines. These machines only seem to streak for a couple of Jackpots at best, but you generally get a good run for your money.

As for the rest - forget it - no playability at all.

The current trend among the major players (Barcrest, Maygay, JPM & Bellfruit) seems to be to design a machine that can strip you of your cash quicker than a Thai prostitute. Gives you a board then kills you within 2 spins on a piddly little win. Regularly loses on higher than a 2 or lower than an 11, again on a poxy win less than £2. These are just 2 of the tricks used to take your hard earned cash.

For nostalgic reasons, my favourite machine ever is Fortune Numbers by Barcrest from the early 80's (10p play, £4 jackpot). In recent years, it has been Robin Hood by Ace (25p play, £15 jackpot). I know this has had a slating in these hallowed pages, but we had one in the pub where I worked. I was dropping £45 about once a week, and this was not a pub where the bandits were played continuously.

There are still a fair few Simpsons Beer Guide machines about, which is the same as Spartacash. Look around and you are bound to find a few, especially in service stations.

My all time favourites have to be Red Alert and Impulse.

I used to visit this pub everytime it was possible and they had them both lined up together. I would start on one and then work up to a streak and then go onto the other.

Because they were both together i could keep an eye on what was happening on the other one. I always used to aim for super hold and bring the three boxes into the hidden features.

A lot of people never realised the trick about holding the question mark after the bonus but even more didnt (or still dont) know about holding the Bell with the 3 on for nudges. Even if it doesnt hold you could hold the reel and spin and it was drop back in.

I lost count of the amount of £2.40's i got through nudges which i would then exchange for either Pay Rise or Water Cannon... (fast cash to you and I)

I was soo good at fast cash it almost became a regular habit of stopping £7 + everytime i got the feature........

Other than that my fav all time club machine is Lucky Strike Club (not to be confused with the other lucky strike club which has a roulette wheel) You know the one with Knockouts , Cash , Features and nudges...

Bonus add , activate £250 jp..

I hear it is emulate-able but no one seems to have done it. there is a classic layout available but it doesnt seem to work.......... sob.... ;o(

Favourite at the minute...........none...they are all too eager to strip you of ya dough...with the £25 jackpots all they are working for is a streak of 2-3 jackpots and the rest of the time they have no playability or wins of higher than a pond at all.....BRING BACK THE TWILIGHT ZONE!!!!!!!
