With the Rugby World Cup starting on 7th September 2007 at 9pm, just wondering if there are any Rugby fans on here and what are your predictions.

As a Welshman, It's Wales all the way - Only to the quarter finals mind you :) . Why couldn't they have had a Rugby World Cup in the 70's  .

Also every match will be covered by ITV1, ITV2, ITV3 & ITV4, and matches will be at good times i.e. after work in the evenings.

I'm really looking forward to this, if it's anything like the last Rugby World Cup, will be great entertainment.

Give us your predictions.

Anyone bar the English but I think its South Africa, New Zealand or Australia hard to call this time IMO. Just a shame that coverage will go to f*** all once England are knocked out.

If New Zealand don't win it this year, I don't think they ever will. Wales realistically will get to the QF's. Anything more is just a bonus.

England, not sure. Probably SF candidates.

Should be a good tournament. :)

Forget the qualifying groups, they don't mean a thing. After that!!!!!

Wales will be lucky to win a game.

England might win one...but only if it's against shite.

Scotland won't win any.

Ireland are the best bet but they aren't British.

All in all it's gonna be a poor world cup for Britain. My money is on the all blacks. It's their time.

Got a feeling the Pasta Munching Italians might have a sneaky chance of quarter finals

Rugby Union in England is nothing more than a platform for middle and upper class toffy nosed mummies boys, to get out and look all butch and macho for their girlfriends.

lol, sorry, I still have Jeremy Guscott on my mind.

Try watching some Rugby League. A real mans game that Union is trying to emulate but never will. Challenge Cup Final on Saturday. St Helens v Catalan Dragons. It maybe the most one sided match in challenge cup history.

My favorite sport Rugby League, although still like Rugby Union (World Cup's and Six Nations Only).

Looking forward to Saturday - A St Helens (star studded side) win for sure :) . Ray French Rules :D .

Yeah Alth..but I see the group stages as almost meaningless really and I did say that in my post. When the REAL tournament starts we should all book our flights home :)

First shock of the World Cup? - Not really. Argentina beating France quite easily, crap game to watch, the big teams on tomorrow = New Zealand & Australia.

Love watching the All Blacks doing the Haka before the match - One of the greatest things in sport.
