Hi all,

Could anyone tell me some advice on these machines where you have to get three "X's" on the winline for a win because I have noticed that in arcades when people get a win of something on the winline for example three "X's" for £1 they seem to keep tapping the hold/nudge buttons whilst the win is being added to the bank, why do they do that, cheers all.

People do all sorts of crap... I know one woman who covers the reels as they stop individually.. I also know somebody who presses cancel everytime before they press start. It doesn't do anything Minimoto - Just people trying any old crap out of desperation most the time....

its like when yu see people nudging in two and waiting for a hidden nudge to come in, I dont see any point in that... or someone may tell me wrong.

Some machines do this. For example most of the multiplayer machines do it inluding all the new OXO variants. Probably only about 1 in 20 though, and autonudge will usually do it automatically anyway!!! :)

partytime is a good example of extra nudges becoming available. so you, it is indeed worth while.

Definately, especially if you are like me and just plonk a quid or two in and want say Xs to see if you go up top, seeing as how it can automatically bring down two reels rather than one when it times out. Obviously theres ways of getting JP and ASTRA as well but the Xs are more frequent.

Hope this isn't too off topic, but when I am in arcades I see people on the Donkey Derby machines(You know, that one with about 6 fruit machines and in the middle the donkey race against Donkey Dan-who always wins it!)
Well some poeple tap the holds and cancel all the time...Is this to stay on the machine longer to try and get the Donkey Derby feature?

So how do these machines stop the chavos ploinking a quid and just waiting?

I have always wondered that too Crazy, although it seems to win more on the machines that are being played so it must increase your percentage drops or something when you are actually playing money through. If it works on an overall machine percentage it would have to work like that wouldn't it.??

HI

The charvos are stopped because the unit times out if you dont keep playing the reel game, i like this game also comes in other formats like london bus its a lordsvaleMAB co production, and donkey dan dont allways win i have won many races on that unit. It works like this you put in quid play game and a light with your horses name and number comes on on your unit, after about 30 secs it goes out to play the race, your light must be on and you must have at least one credit in when the race starts so just shuving a pound in and sitting there will not get you a game when the donkeys go unless you light is on and your in credit. I tend to play wait for the light to go out and play again, makes it last longer between races. Ho yes and when you win the race you are awarded a random amount from £1 to £5 i have only ever seen them on 10p £5 jackpot, so the amount you win is obviously related to the % of the unit your playing.

Haha I used to do stupid things like this, but not like the woman. Id cover the hi lo reel on that all important gamble.

As for the donkey/bus machine I thought it was simalar to the party time games where it put you up if you won a quid?

Only ever been on once in Herne bay, first quid put me up then I got £5, went onto the next one and had hold after nudge on jp and follwed up getting the odd £1 wins out of the remaining 4 machines.

On multistake machines if I hold 2 of a kinf, I point at the position the 3rd fruit should come in at! :) Just some fun, and it did work once...Luck of course

Going back to the OXO topic, I've seen ppl who get up the top reels and when they're kicked off they bang all the buttons.. and it sometimes says.... Player 3... you're back... (for example) so it IS useful... however, after using this same technique many times, I saw one bloke playing it who simply tapped start when it kicked him off and it sent him back up. (gotta tap as it's telling you you lose).

You always get the old dears waiting for the machine to nudge itself down on the STANDARD bar-x's because they have seen it done on the astra's! I hate that especially when the volume is right up on it!!! They still think it will do it after 2 mins have gone by!!!

We have 47 machines at the local Mecca -- and 15 of them are switched off due to GRANNY BUTTON BASHERS that have smashed the buttons so they will now not work - the staff do nothing about it.

And you hear them all moaning asking why all the machines are allways switched off

I tell them they are switched off becuase people like you that bash the buttons break them !! -- Then they simply say "well it makes them pay out more" What a load of crap !

I hate button bashers, the old dear next to me today seemed like she was still hittin the buttons about a minute after the win! Another hate I have is wen people are playing party time and wait for it to time out to spin the top reels rather than press start, playin a 9 player arena today you can be sittin around for quite a while n Im dyin to just go over n press the fin button for em.
I used to be schitzophenic but were ok now.
