Now that I know that MPU5 could be a long way from being emulated, are the Epoch, Scorpion 4, etc machines a long way from being emulated as well?

Also, I don't think Barcrest for example are allowed to supply an MPU5 emulator and the machine ROMs by law under the Gaming Act 1968. Am I right? I have asked you this because the early MPU5 machines like Each Way Nudge and Eliminator are 5 years old now and are starting to disappear from arcades and are getting older all the time.

I don't think that the Gaming Act applies to Emu sites as there is no monies involved (it's purely fun). The Gaming Act applies to Places such as Pub's, Cafes and Bingo halls etc where machines are placed to make a profit, if it did apply then we would have to purchase a licence for each Emu on our PC's too I would have thought........With regards to the ROM's, the law would only be concerned with the accuracy of them....Look at ROM's being like a Like a Record---if you own the rights!!!! and decide to put a song on the cover of a mag and give it away then that's your choice, though the writer may not be too happy!!

as i said all copyright laws are protected even if its emu or any other site that uses the roms or artwork its got nothing to do with the gaming law its all within the copyright laws/ tm (trade mark) patient pending.

but as u know most things get copied without permission i.e, cd's,vids,dvd's,software-roms,artwork. plus many others

i'd just thought i would point this out
