Hi,
Machine is a barcrest austin powers.
I went to the machine today and switched it on as normal, was working fine yesterday but today the alarm goes off and this flashes up on the display.
ALARM 19-7F COIN MECH STRIM BAD PATTERN
Can anyone tell me what I need to do to fix this?
Its quite urgent.
Thanks a lot.

try just leaving the machine on for a while. the alarm will eventually time out if its a strim alarm, but if u keep turning the machine off and on whilst in alarm mode it will take longer to clear each time u repower the machine. un plug the speaker if the alarm is doing ur head in and just leave it on for an hr

All fixed.
Took the hopper and drawer out and found 4 £1 coins lurking behind it all, took them out and dumped the hopped, put back together and refitted, all seems to be ok now.

I think it was just luck that fixed it then, as it was a coin mech alarm you had, not a hopper alarm!

yup, thats what I thought, but hey, it worked lol
just out of interest, if it happens again and I can't fix it, what would be needed to sort it out?

STRIM ALARM is only when the machine thinks you are turning the machine OFF/ON quickly in an attempt to gain credits.
Just keep the machine switched on and the alarm will time out after a short while -- as said before don't keep switching it OFF and ON again as the time will get longer
