#202728 B3 Machines

Posted by jackpotjon05 on 13 November 2010 - 06:52 PM in Real Fruit Machines

Hi all, im looking at buying a holy grail from a company but wish
to change it over to an elvis or a rainbow in maybe 6 months time.
Apparently the pc is already loaded with all the games i need in B3 and Cat C and D which is all good.
Ive been told that in order to change a game over (not worried about glass) from B3 to B3 from holy grail
to rainbow for example is just the pic chips ONLY.
Is this correct?
Ive been told by the company that if i ever needed to change it, just turn it off, put in new pic chip
and upload another game from inside the pc and away you go.
What im asking you guys is it that simple?
Ive been told by barcrest that it may not be as it depends if the pc has a battery fitted.
If it has, it may not work or vice versa.
Im pretty sure it will be ok but just wanted some expert advice first about this battery business.
Its all very confusing and obviously dont want to buy it if im gonna get lots of problems.
I just simply want a machine, so when i get bored i can order new chips and change it over with no hassle.
Any help would be much appreciated from somebody who knows what they are talking about.
Kind Regards. Jon.

by the time you have upgraded the pc (easy) and then obtained a rainbow riches program card (not so easy) its easier to just sell the machine and get a new one.

i would not have thought for a second that barcrest would have told you it will be down to a battery??????????????????

at the end of the day, if you buy a holy grail, it stays a holy grail.

So when you say a programme card, is that not the pic chip then?
Surely if the pc has all games already on it, then its a case of changing pic chips only???
Need some more help guys please???

#203683 Money Trail?

Posted by jackpotjon05 on 15 December 2010 - 08:41 PM in Real Fruit Machines

As you have all probably heard on here before, the chances of us ever seeing a Money Trail emulated is very
unlikely due to encryption probs etc with the crystal cabinet apparently according to the experts.
Now im going to ask another.....
Does anyone have one, or know of anybody who might, or could possibly get one?
I know its a long shot but you never know, hopefully there may be somebody out there.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, i think this is my only hope now.
Cheers guys.

#207030 Tetris Problems

Posted by jackpotjon05 on 26 February 2011 - 04:33 PM in General FME Discussion

Hi there, just downloaded tetris on this site, but it comes up with 'pay unit error'
and machine wont' run.
Any ideas what i have to do, or is this machine knackered?
If it is broken is there any other fruit-emu members out there who do have some roms who could
maybe put one together that works?
It was a great machine and very rare to see in arcades these days, so would be great to play it
if possible.
Any help would be appreciated.

Use mfme 9.4 for that game, also i think it runs in door open mode only.

So when you load machine up, it tries to initialise and that's the point when an alarm comes up
what do i need to do next to clear that alarm?
And how do i play it on door open mode?
Could you please tell me what I have to do exactly?
Any more help would be appreciated.

Just had a look at the game,it runs fine and the meters work so it's doors closed,it runs fine in mfme 9.4 if you get the on/off alarm when it boots, close the emu go into the tetris file and delete the ram file, then load the game it will then run fine.EDIT it does run with doors closed but if you collect a win you get pay unit error,so it will have to be played doors open mode.Open the configuration menu and were yout see the door switches option just change both numbers to 18 play what credits you have off then press start it will then give you 50 credits. You will have to save the layout to keep those settings, you can do this by doing to design/layout save layout.

Many thanks for that, really appreciated.
Got it working fine, cheers.

#208896 Section 16

Posted by jackpotjon05 on 30 March 2011 - 06:04 PM in Real Fruit Machines

Hi there all, I noticed on e-bay the other day someone was selling an old mpu5 section 16 with pic chips included
for an Elvis Top 20 machine.
This made me think at this point, if you can get your hands on this kind of software still (even though it's not legal in arcades)
and you bought any old rio style machine e.g. elvis/rainbow for your home, could it be converted back into a section 16
with progressives?
I'm just a little confused as fancied it as my little project, but didn't want to unless I knew it was possible.
Didn't they have random number generators also and would that cause a problem?
Finally, my third and last question, if so, does anybody know of any software lying around that hasn't been converted into B3
and basically is this possible or am I completely barking up the wrong tree?
Any assistance in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

#209083 System 5 - Fairground Attraction Club 1600 DX\'s

Posted by jackpotjon05 on 01 April 2011 - 05:59 PM in New Releases

Hi, just downloaded your machine, many thanks first of all.
Just one thing, the machine runs very very slowly and wandered what I have to do to make it run
fruit machine style speed.
The sound is fine and to time, it just takes the reels 3-5 seconds to land.
I know on the bellfruit emulators there is a setting on configuration to change the speeds, but can't
find it on the mfme emulators???
Can anybody help, plus what is the easiest way to know what emulator to use (e.g 2, 3 3.1)
when downloading a machine as some don't say.
Many thanks.

I believe this runs on the JPM emulator but can also be run on MFMEv3.2.

With 3.2 load up the game and then goto File>Prefrences and check the 'auto-throttle' box.
With JPM emulator..load up the game..goto Options that will bring up the configuration box..youll see the 'speed' section..select auto or increase the speeds in 50's or 100's till you get it perfect.

Thanks ploggy for this smashin lookin machine..all these clubbers recently..ill be a covert before i know it. :)

No, doesn't run in jpm emulator, just tried it.
When you say check the auto-throttle box, what exactly do I then do with it?
Thanks.

Is there something wrong with this machine?
Just downloaded it, put £2-£3 in it and had over 20-30 jackpots causing a payout over 2000%
Surely this isn't right, just keeps going mad for it every time you hit board, every pound you put in.
No machine out there would do this for real as taken over £300 out so far and that was with a fiver!

#211697 Who Owns Their Own Machine That Want To Sell?

Posted by jackpotjon05 on 03 May 2011 - 08:53 PM in Real Fruit Machines

Hi all I have just noticed Guitars very interesting thread about all those who own
machines in their homes.
Now does anybody have Money Trail by Crystal that may be willing to sell?
Been after this machine for ages and wandering if anyone out there has it or knows of anywhere
where I could get hold of it?
All help would be greatly appreciated.

You would be better off going to some arcades and asking if they'll sell you one, as they do still have some in storage that haven't been converted. The local cashino by me has about 300 section 16's all out the back, just sitting there doing nothing!

Do you have a phone number or a name of this company that has all these section 16's sat out
the back?
May be worth me contacting them.
Many thanks.

Its Cashino in Cardiff, I'm saying nothing more than that. Find their number and give them a ring, they're known (round here) for selling machines out the back on the sly ;-)

Thanks for that, will give them a try.
So basically give them a ring and ask for a deal and they will probably help?
Anyone specific I need to maybe ask for at the arcade?
So i can say Ive spoken to this person and they recommended me?
Hint hint!!

That's toooo bad! ;)

That's right!

#213359 Help Needed

Posted by jackpotjon05 on 03 June 2011 - 07:03 AM in General FME Discussion

Hi all, just trying to load up tetris but comes up with pay unit error.
Now one of you did tell me it had something to do with deleting the ram file before I load
it up, so I did this but it is still coming up and won't load.
Can somebody please remind me what I have to do to get this working and what emulator is best to run it on?
Regards. Jon.

Ask him...

This is what I did.
I went into the file, deleted the ram file and then loaded up machine
once again, and again pay unit error comes up.
I then looked into the file and the ram is still there even though I deleted it.
Need some more help please.
Thanks.
